i origionally signed up for at&t uverse tv package u300, i also have the internet and voice with at&t. one day i had to call customer service to discuss a problem i was having and at the end of the conversation the customer service rep told me she could give me a better deal than the one i had signed up for. well that got my attention so i said ok lets see what you have to offer.

the customer service rep said she could give me a bigger tv package and my price would not go up. so i agreed to take the package but before i approved i asked her that this package and price would have to be the same for the 24 month contract that i signed up for. the rep assured me that the package would not change for the contract term of 24 months. i even asked the rep again, are you sure the price would not change and again she promised me it would not. so i agreed to the offer and the name of that package was u450.

today i recieved my monthly bill and i noticed a increase of about $25.00 so i called at&t and asked why am i being charged so much. the customer service rep i spoke with today told me that the television promotion i signed up with has ended. i told the rep what i was offered and that i should not have to pay that price and that i was assured twice that my bill would not change. the rep said i misunderstood the person that signed me up and nothing could be done but if i wanted i could go back to the original package i signed up for which i am contiplating but i got interested in shows that are only offered with the u450 package. anyway i told the rep today that i feel at&t are being deceptive and i feel they should honor the agreement that the other rep signed me up for. all at&t kept saying was they were sorry but they could not change the promotion.

i am mad about this and if i was told correctly that the price was a term limited permotional i would have never signed up for it. i was happy at the time with the u300 because if i would not have changed over i would not have missed what you do not have but now i am interested in channels that if i go back to the u300 those  programs will be missed by myself and other family members

to be sure at&t mislead me and i feel they are being deceptive for the reps are probably getting commissions for signing people up for larger packages. if anyone else is getting offers like this one don't fall for it because they are lying. the customer service rep that lied to me should be disaplinedand i told them so but they wont do anything about it and how can the little guy fight big buisness. so please read this complaint and don't let att lie to you also
