Advantage/Protective Asset Protection Advantage does not honor their warranties, they just want your money! Bonnackburn, Illinois

In 2009, my wife and I purchased a 2006 Hummer H3 with only one previous owner and just over 12,000 miles on the odometer. We decided to go ahead and purchase the extended warranty offered through Advantage/Protective. Now in 2012 with the low mileage of just under 45,000 miles, regularly completed maintenance, and great care, the Hummer has head problems. We took the vehicle to our dealer and were told (by the warranty company) that the repair would be covered under warranty as long as excessive carbon was not found in the motor after being taken apart. Our dealer called us to tell us that the engine itself looks great inside and that it has obviously been taken care of. Advantage/Protective had their adjuster take photos and check the engine out and we figured everything was good and would have our vehicle repaired. Well, Advantage suddenly changed their tune and back-stepped on their obligation to repair the vehicle saying that the damage was do to normal wear and tear even though a certified dealer mechanic says otherwise. My wife has contacted the warranty company on many occasions and they refuse to repair the problem because they say that the head problem is a known issue.

My question is, if the problem is a known issue, why is Advantage selling a product they knowingly are not going to stand behind.  This Advantage/Protective company is nothing more than a company who wants to steal your hard earned money. Do not be taken advantage of by (Advantage/Protective asset protection)!!!
