Alibaba obviously has legitimate companies that trade and do business on their website. The point of this report is to warn people that are going to do business via Alibaba to beware of the fact that being a verified and gold member company on that site is completely meaningless. I purchased some computer equipment from such a verified and gold member company, they recieved my payment and never sent the goods. They did this to a lot of people. Alibaba eventaully kicked them off, but my money is long gone.
Advice for those that are going to link up with sellers from Alibabas website:
-Try when possible to use secure payments like paypal.
-Only do business with companies that have been members for several years.
These will greatly increase the chances of successful transactions. Remember Gold and Verified are MEANINGLESS!
