All My Sons Moving & Storage of Gainesville Gave estimate of $2,700.00 - When 80% into move, informed us they had to add additional truck & 2 men - Total added cost was $2,000 over estimate. Gainesville, Florida

More than 80% of our Furniture & boxes were on the truck on moving day, when they informed us that they needed to add a second truck & 2 men.  Originally, they did the estimate for the move over the phone. We found it very odd that they could not fit all in one truck since they moved no televisions or electronics that went with the televisions, nor did they move any kitchen table/chairs or living room couch, love seat or chairs.  We also only had 2 bedrooms.  The original estimate of $2,700 was exceeded by $2,000.  We feel that this was a complete ripoff because if they had any doubts about the move, they should have come to house to do a more accurate estimate.  To us this is rather like "bait & switch." Since they had so many of our items already loaded, what choice did we have but to pay the difference?   When they started unloading the next morning, they were ordered by their manager in Gainesville to "stop" until we had paid in full. I guess they were holding us hostage for full payment, in case we didn't want to pay the difference.  Also, we were assured that they were "pro movers" & our furniture & goods would be shrink wrapped & padded & would be moved very carefully.  That was a joke.  They ruined pictures & furniture.  After all of this, they had the nerve to email us a "customer conversation" called "Tell us about your move,"  which, of course, because it contained negative comments, they completely ignored.  I would never, ever recommend this company to anyone to move their belongings! How much I wish we had not used them for our move from Gainesville to Estero, Florida!
