BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!!!  They will set you bogus leads and you will be out of a lot of money before you know and there is no way to recoup your money for this.

I'm an insurance agent and I used this company to pre-set appointments for me.  I had spoken with a James Benson and Oscar Alvarez.  They each told me they could set me the kind of appointments I would looking for and I could even send them a script to use and select they type of list I would like to order.  I work in the Medicare Market and I am very aware of the rules that govern the Medicare Advantage Market.  The MIPPA Law clearly states that you cannot "Cold Call" Medicare Recipients.  In the phone conversation with them, they claim they are in compliance with calling these types of Leads and setting appointments.  So, I decided to try them.  I was given a price of $320.00 to get 16 pre-set appointments from James Benson. The first RED FLAG that I should have noticed was that you have to deposit the money into their bank account in order to order the leads.  I had to find a Bank of America in my City and go deposit the money. After I did this I contacted them and they told me to fax over a copy of the deposit slip and the completed form that list the type of leads I wanted with the counties and zip codes.  They said they would get me out leads on Tuesday.

Second RED FLAG, they lied and then later said they wasn't able to get me list in time so I didn't get leads until Wednesday.  The very first lead I went on said she had no knowledge of me coming by.  According to Mr. Benson, they claim they double verify the leads.  I went on the second appt. and the person was not at home.  I decide to call the third lead they set and she was so up-set because she explained to the telephone rep. that she was not interested and to remove her name from the list.  The fourth lead thought I would her Social Worker.  They had set me BOGUS Leads.  I called back asking them what did they do.  He told me the type of list he order and I told Mr. Benson that was not what I ordered.  I did not want a list of people whose income was below the poverty level.  I explained to them that I sell Medicare Supplements.  I have given them my target market requirements and they still ordered what they wanted.  So, all the leads they had given were terrible.   No Possible Lead at all.  I still had about 9 appointments they were suppose to had set for me.  They decided not to set this appointments and they never returned my calls or e-mails.  I asked for a refund and they didn't respond

This company and these people are completely BOGUS and a JOKE.  I'm furious!!!  I would not recommend anyone to use them.  They will take your money and keep taking your money.  Since I put the money in their account there is no way to show proof of anything and they know this.  This is why they do this.  INSURANCE AGENTS STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.  Just do it yourself.  I've found that out the hard way.

#1 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Appointments Direct

AUTHOR: Karen Morgan - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, July 15, 2010

My name is Karen Morgan. I am a former Sales Manager with Appointments Direct. I totally disagree with the accusations that have been made by this insurance agent. Appointments DIrect only offers their clients the VERY BEST preset appointments and leads in the industry. Not only are the appointments set by the telemarketers, but they're also double verified to assure the client will be home when the agent arrives. They NEVER set bogus leads or appointments, and I am offended as a former employee that such accusations have been made. Further more...Oscar Alvarez, and James Benson are true honest individuals who ALWAYS comply with the MIPPA law, and never have telemarketers "cold call" Medicare/Medicaid recipients. Appointments Direct has always provided excellent customer service, and they always strive to meet the customer's needs. Obviously this agent had a bad experience, but ONE BAD APPLE shouldn't spoil the bunch. If she only paid $320 to get 16 pre-set appointments...then she got a hell of a deal. Most companies would have charged her double for their services.
