Brandon Deboer operates under internet marketing/web development firm BCS Marketing. His reputation in the entertainment industry is diminishing daily and I would like to make public my experience dealing with him.
I hired Brandon to facilitate the execution of Twitter verification at a cost of ~$650.00 for one account. Brandon and I had several conversations via phone before I remitted payment. He explained that he would be submitting the request to a third party, who has a direct relationship with a representative in the entertainment division. He went on to say that the time frame on verification varies depending on the amount that is paid, but promised that mine would be taken care of within 48 hours. He assured me that he has assisted in the verification of many accounts and stressed that there would be no issue whatsoever. I had him draw up an agreement and it reads as follows:
"BCS Marketing will be providing (author) with Twitter verification handled from a third party agency on behalf of BCS Marketing & Affiliates, the Verification process over twitter can take a Maximum of 15 Business days (excluding any weekends) if BCS Marketing cannot meet the requirements of this agreement the client (author) will be provided a full refund from BCS Marketing within two weeks time of the ending of the agreement. [continued below]....
I approved the agreement and sent Brandon the payment via Western Union on December 6, 2012 using the following information:
Name: Brandon Deboer
In short, the verification never happened. I sent payment on December 6. It was suppose to be completed by December 10. I asked him on December 12 if he could provide proof that he and his agency processed the form to Twitter. He called and said that my profile would 100% be verified that night --- nothing! December 13 I sent him a text asking what happened. His response was "They told me they will be processing the accounts promptly, we just need to wait." Brandon subsequently told me again that the verification would be complete by a certain time and --- nothing!
December 15 I asked Brandon to go ahead and process the refund because I had been lied to numerous times. His response "As per our agreement, we have 15 business days. We are on top of this to get this done asap." I replied "Ok I'll wait. Just know that I would not have sent a single message if you didn't claim that it could and would be done in 1-2 days. December 26 is the deadline."
December 16 Brandon sent a text that reads "We're a 100% go for tomorrow by the night San Francisco time - might happen during early afternoon. I'll keep you updated." December 18 came --- nothing!
Brandon called me several times with the same story over and over for the next few days....
December 27 Brandon sent a text that reads "We heard from Twitter this morning. Our agent Billy will process all of our accounts today."
Long story short: Brandon actually sent my money to a recording artist who claims he is with Def Jam Records. The recording artist, from what I understand, scammed Brandon and he had to work to recover the funds. The verification was never submitted to Twitter.
I found this information out on December 28 and immediately demanded Brandon to process the refund. He promised me on three separate occasions that he would send the refund *that day* but ---- nothing! My calls and texts went unanswered and so I had a recording artist from SODMG reach out to him while I was on 3 way and he answered. He again promised that he would process the refund next day --- nothing!
It took Brandon over 2 months to finally send my money back and he shorted me $50! He recently agreed to add 20k real twitter followers to an account for me and it's been 3 weeks ---nothing! Said he would send the rest of my money by January 28, 2013 --- nothing! Haven't heard from him all week.
I apologize for the length of my report as well as my brevity towards the end. I've heard many stories similar to mine regarding transactions with Brandon Deboer DBA BCS Marketing. Don't let him reel you in with unrealistic promises. I've been in the industry for almost 10 years and have never dealt with someone who conducts business so poorly. He completed disrespected my time and has no integrity.
