On October 8, 2015 I received an email from CarGurus telling me I received a review on their site. I opened the email to see I got a one star review from a guy named Paul. This is what he said in his review:  "These guys are ridiculous and impossible to deal with. Every car is high priced and very bad shape. "

I did not remember having any conversations with a Paul recently so I searched my emails and found 3 emails from a Paul (I learned he goes by Paul) on September 13 and 14. Out of the 3 emails I replied to, I only received one reply back, asking for the price of a corvette and if it had T-tops.  I replied with those answers, and never heard from him again. This gentlemen never visited my dealership, never talked to us on the phone, and we never heard from him again after the September 14.

After doing some research on this gentleman, I found out he bought a 1992 red corvette from another local dealer on September 18 and has had several minor problems with the corvette ever since. The dealer just finished fixing the problems and returned the car to him on October 6.

Why Paul decided, almost a month later, to slander my business is beyond me.  I think he may have my business confused with the business that sold him the car he had problems with.  I contacted CarGurus right away to have this review removed, due to it being completely false and slanderous, and because the guy obviously was leaving feedback for the wrong dealership. I was transferred to the highest available manager, and they have refused my requests to remove the review.

I have copies of all the emails with Paul, my emails with CarGurus, and a letter from the dealership where he bought his corvette, verifying their part in this situation.
