I recieved a letter with a check for $2346.74 in the mail.  The letter stated that I was a beneficiary of an unclaimed settlement for the amount of $80,000.00.  It said that under the "North Americal Law" the receiver must pay a processing fee before the funds are released but also that the law prevents you from paying the fees out of your personal funds.
It also said to keep the claim completely confidential until it has been completely processed and the settlement had been delivered.  It said that the check would only be valid if you called the offices and spoke with your claims agent (John Carter) first.
It also said that they could not disclose all the details due to safty restrictions and that all prized must be claimed no later that Friday August 3rd or the funds would be forfeited.
