Before buying sale items, check for restrictions in small print.I am retired so I have to watch what I spend.I recently purchased two items with a marked price of $3.99. When I got home I checked my reciept and found they charged me $8.89 each for a total of $17.78. I almost blew my dentures out when I seen that. I called Cub and explained what they had done to me. They said to bring the receipt in and they would refund the difference. When I got there The cashier that had as much personality as a burnt our light bulb told me she could only refund the difference on one package. She said there was a limit of one. I went back to check the price and there was no indication of any limit.
I will no longer be doing business with Cub foods again. They just opened a super Wall-Mart in Forest Lake so i will be shopping there. At one time businesses had some integrety. Something that is hard to find today. This has more to do with principle than money. I just got ripped off.

No offense, but aren't you being a bit irrational?

AUTHOR: seeworthy - ()

The details regarding the product, misunderstanding, or errors on each parties fault were not provided, but let's assume Cub had a price listed incorrectly or the computer wasn't updated with proper pricing. (That's a generous assumption.)

Why must a business employee act all peachy keen when trying to resolving an issue? There was no indication of rudeness on the employees part. It was made obvious that this person, perhaps requiring a new application of Fixodent, was extremely rude in describing other's less than bubbly personality.

One might wonder how this bitter woman, if she was an employee at Cub or any public business, would interact with people (especially one's such as herself). Would this complainer sincerely remain utterly delightful and nothing like a "burnt our light bulb" employee? It would be safe to assume that after a few customers like this complainer, anyone would become burnt out and often a bit less that completely personable. Unless they're not human, of course.

What sort of mentality is depicted when after a petty incident, a person actually raves about never patronizing a business again? Because of the complainers perceived issues, her logic states that without exception all staff in all Cubs in the United States absolutely operate out of unacceptable incompetence and poor customer service. Really now? It would be interesting to have this complainer define her logic, which should take less time and energy than already spent out of wasteful spite.

And the atrocious logic continues. Because of one perceived fault, isolated as it is, this complainer admits irrationally running off to a competitor of Cub's. How can this complainer not possibly have the aptitude to realize that there are even more complainers just like herself that target Walmart? How can anyone be that out of touch? Look at the myriad of complaints about Walmart for a variety of issues. Walmart has never had complaints regarding the exact same issue?? Walmart, with it's limited and underpaid staff has never had complaints about customer service?? Walmart has never put any other business OUT of business, while not investing our hard earned money back into our community? Walmart has been described as a significant factor to the current United States recession yet, of all businesses, this complainer will run THERE?

Inconveniences such as described in this complaint happen to everyone. They're inevitable. People can either piss, moan, and blame, or take it in stride to live their life to minimize subjecting the same grief onto others. Hypocrisy is a shameful thing. Thus far, this woman seems to find righteousness in condemnation of others. It's fairly safe to assume "retired" and "dentures" defines a person with far fewer years ahead than years past.

I confess now that I am being judgmental as I hope this person will fill the her current void of compassion and dignity that would help bring both peace as well as purpose to her life. But for now, I sympathize with that poor Cub girl, and hope that she earns more internal peace than held by those more bitter and hateful towards her.
