We were ripped off by DSH Housing/Quality Wholesale Homes.  The are now operating under the name FACTORY WHOLESALE HOMES.  They are using the same telephone and fax numbers as QWH, but I have been unable to verify their address (which is actually a PO Box that uses a suite number) at this point.  They may or may not still be using their address in Washington, UT.

We received an unsolicited email from QWH stating they were having a "120 Hour Stimulus Sale."  A few days later, we received another email stating they had extended the deadline, so we looked at floor plans on their website and chose one.

When calling to place an order, emails and phone calls were answered promptly.  Both the sales person, Sady Salah, and the manager, Dave Higbee (Higby) assured us that California building codes for fire, earthquake, were included in the unbelievably low price provided in the contract.  We were put under pressure to sign the contract and send a bank transfer of $5,000 right away to secure the pricing, but Higbee extended that so we could make the 600 mile round trip to the property on which we intended to build so we could meet with contractors etc.  When we returned home, we sent them a $5,000 cashier's check along with the signed contract.

About a week after they received the deposit, we received poor quality photocopies of carpet, tile, etc. choices along with a Critical Issues List that they wanted signed and returned.  In reading over the list, we discovered that the CA building codes that were discussed were not included in the price quote--they would be extra--thousands of dollars more.  Suddenly no one at QWH returned our phone calls.

Several days later we received an email from Justin Kerns stating that QWH was closing its doors, but Goldbilt Homes would honor our contract and $5,000 deposit.  We finally spoke with Justin Kerns and demanded our deposit back and he said, "There is no money to be returned."  That was the last we heard of them as they never returned phone calls or emails.

We sent a letter requesting a refund via Return Reciept to Devon S. Howard at the same address we sent the check to and it went unclaimed for over a month, and then was returned to us.

Financing was never an issue with us.  We had a well and septic system installed and had the pad scratched.  We were ready to build.  These people were obviously out to scam and never intended to provide us with a manufactured home.

I have found them operating under Factory Wholesale Homes @ www.fwhonline.com.

DO NOT let these swindlers get your money!  They flat out lie and tell you what you want to hear in order to steal your money.  If you make a deposit, you will not get it back and you will not get a home.
