Dave Roush Blacklisted paying customer in the city of marion, unable to have repairs done by anyone Marion, Ohio

Despite paying an outstanding balance Dave Roush took it upon himself to blacklist me among other local repair companies. I accept that I could not expect to have his company come and repair an issue in my home, but it is poor form to contact every other contractor in my city to prevent me from getting service.

A year ago I had to depend on him to render warranty work and was told by his company and the company that referred him to me that there would be no charge. At the time work was done I also was not asked to sign a work order or estimate despite me asking numerous times if I needed to sign anything. I was then presented with a bill for additional parts and labor. Over the course of the year I ignored the bill believing that I was in the clear. No work order, no problem.

Under the threat of legal action I responded to his bill. After a heated conversation and needing another repair visit I paid the requested amount plus late fees. He refused to come and do the work, which I can understand. However I was unable to get any other contractor to come do the repair or even return a phone call. I was forced to use a national chain and have equipment completely replaced.

To summarize, my report is not that Dave Roush would not come and do the repair, but that he used his connections to prevent me from having someone else come and do the work.
