Like other reports of ripoff by Worldpay, they have made it very difficult to cancel, have been shady with contractual details and when selling their services DO NOT FULLY DISCLOSE the process and have non-standard procedures which are unnessarily complicated.

All attempts to call and cancel services are answered by a machine and my calls were not returned.

So, I called TransEngen which is who Office Ally uses to sell credit card processing services to healthcare providers.  I was told back in August that I could not terminate until October without early penalty because that was my 3 year anniversary.

I called to cancel today, was redirected to Worldpay, and after a sales pitch to keep their services, promising to lower my rates to be competitive, I was told that I would have to pay a $ 495.00 penalty becuase if you do not inform them within 90 days in advance of my wish to terminate that THEY AUTOMATICALLY LOCK ME INTO ANOTHER YEAR CONTRACT. So, since I was now automatically locked into another year contract I would have to pay the penalty.

I was never informed of this. I was informed of a three year term, but never about being automatically locked into a new contract if they don't get advanced notice of my intent to cancel

I have used three other merchant services in the past and NONE of them force you into new yearly contracts with additional early termination fees.  This is a trap.

What does the WRITTEN contract you signed say about cancellation?

AUTHOR: Ken - ()

POSTED: Friday, November 08, 2013

The disclosures are made in the contract and they are NOT required to explain every detail of it.  Then people would say they were told wrong.  It doesn't matter, the WRITTEN contract overrides ANYTHING you were/weren't told.

Have you even read your contract yet...didn't think so.

"Like other reports of ripoff by Worldpay, they have made it very difficult to cancel, have been shady with contractual details and when selling their services DO NOT FULLY DISCLOSE the process and have non-standard procedures which are unnessarily complicated."

What part(s) of the contractual details are shady?  The DID disclose ALL the details in the WRITTEN contract.

What is "non-standard" and "unnecessarily complicated" about the WRITTEN contract?  If it's in the WRITTEN contract, it IS standard for that contract.

"I was never informed of this. I was informed of a three year term, but never about being automatically locked into a new contract if they don't get advanced notice of my intent to cancel."

This is what happens if you don't read the WRITTEN contract before signing it and since it's in writing they don't need to disclose that.

What's the Ripoff?
