Directv billed my credit card.puton Autopay plus added insurance I didnt order had to call 3-4 times to get autopay off(a ruse/xcuse to bill my card)I did get PAY 30 day trial of the game lounge, Didn't getgameplay either!
Games had=not available the entire 30 days. I called many, letters(2), many emails-(20+),Reps saidYou Need to Upgrade to DVR box! everytime.
I told them why do I get pay per viewfor more $ if this box wont get the other? excuses varied.
Only 2 Supe.'s called 3 times in all.
One lied to BBB at that point after BBB took that as truth.I deleted it all.
The dvr upgrade the Rep.s refer to was offerred with the promo at signup for free & up to 4 boxes. with the promo.
While online signing up, I called Directv customer service to ask questions, verifying what choices and services were, & for help in choosing. When I asked about the DVR box thing the rep. said I didnt have HD TV so I didnt need it.
Now or when I continued to call about not getting the channel lineup in the service package I purchase (she recommended) it will cost me monthly,plus pay to add service,pay installation.in order to get the channels in the package Ipay for now&dont get. I wasnt told I wouldnt get them.
The Rep. advised to get the higher price package since I don't watch most other channels.
What do I get inPremium atExtra @month is rerunsof old shows,movies most have seen by now,other languages/unreadable captions.
I pay extra for a premium channel 4lack of channels & recently changed to 3 months of one I \purchase extra that comes with strz for the same price up until April 28,2012.

Am getting 6 of 12, and 4 of 15channels.
The tv picture comes on now a little more because after the installer redid the install in December and it went out soon as he walked out, I did put another switch with 2 cables to the top of the box that has the cable screw ons for ant/sat that is on my neighbors tv the same as I own.
It doesnt stay allthe time (picture is too bad) and thats also the issue. The Reps and the faq site at Directv does discuss at length most of which I dont understand but the basis is to talk about the old tvs that are the problem and not the box or service so that I kept being persuaded
in thinking it was tv problem.
I doubted very much it was the problem it doesnt do it with cable or the DTV.
Other lies and channels I am cheated from getting is enough to wonder about their suggestions&
The changes Directv has made so that other new customers get what I've complained about all along that I should've gotten or told the facts so I didnt get such a high priced offer, even if the Rep.s were Telling the Truth!being such that I don't get the channels In the chosen package.
all of a sudden something happened (maybe since promo price is about to end)a Representative in Feb.that went to do something(been done by other reps.(3)times before with no change).
It worked this time(Thank you)!Start of service was 04/28/2011.The Reps never told me upon adding the premium,I already got as many channels as I will get because its already in the package Im paying for all along.
The channels (or some) in the package so that I paid twice for the same thing.
Only by accident and long after I paid, a Manager called me while going over what channels I did/didnt have accidently told me things & I realized & Told her I was paying for the same thing twice& didnt get those in full either!
She fixed that &instead of removing the $12.95 premium, she changed the package only less $5.00 taking away any movies I did get.
Directv put on my bill,allowed since promo is ending but normally they'd void my promoprice for that,yet the Supr. told me I could change it any time any package as I was tyold by other reps too.

Directv took C.cardinfo FOR"creditworthiness",& added services I didnt order 1).Autopay, a ruse soDirectv had the card info to bill me WHEN I cancelled.After getting an email copy of more than 3 different rules policy, fine print with all the directv can change,do not, are not dont have to go by, as in the terms of OUR contract; since the terms all but remove all the services advertised and shown on brochures, online, and on the contract saying if Directv chooses to do so, for absolutely everything pertaining to the every service,the policy and services advertised, purchased,and expected, the prices, availability all at Directv's own discretion.
Yet everything in the contract the consumer is held to , though nothing is the same after you sign up and these agreements/policy/terms are not seen until afterwards, long after 30 days alotted to cancel.
These terms say repeatedly every other para. or so, If we do not agree with these terms we have a right to cancel a service anytime but that Directv requires a credit card upon sign up and will bill for early termination or $20.month til paid.
The amount isn't there in full, unless it means $20.until end of contract term.. Y.R.!

Not what it is no doubt, though technically, it says that!
I missed it ,or who knows, deliberately left out of the details a 'un-typho', since they're good at 'un-performance, & 'unethical business practice.
As for all the lie's including advertising, conned into purchases not needed, punished for..? or whatever these incidents are done foe,caused by, I see ,I know what they do, I am absolutely as truthful as possible writing these Facts, and this company is completely dishonest.
If thats not fraud(more like extortion)than what is? False advertising of services &channel lineup,quality of channel lineup,quality of services ,caring for the customers,low fees better than other providers, misleading customers when assisting us to choose services so that we must get more servicers, all on commission I suppose!anything advertised, promised , purchased package I have & contracted for, has been true, nor have I recieved most of what is advertised still.
Poor/No picture or even if it was poor quality is also listed on websites advising consumers as a no-no by these kinds of service providers.
Directv is not about to adjust for this nothing as they prove all this time ignoring a customer that talks and doesnt do anything to Force Directv to do what is rightly in my favor to have them do.
How does 1 little ol lady on a fixed income argue with a Large ATT affiliate partner company doing business like this?
So far it doesnt help,being the complainer via blacklisted is same thing since moving here & ordering phone internet tv services!Nevertheless, I dont have a choice if I want to watch tv,make calls from home or use a computer.
Seems no agency really helps either, they get $ aka consumer rights take action but for me, nothing changes, ever.The Consumer can do nothing,especially the ones that have no voice,no $ or who cannot function well enough to try to help themselves against the Corporate Greed and those they employ. It seems only correct to offer should the other 1/2 of the "Contract Term" free, because I paid and didnt get services.
I never got the channels in the line up, no viewable picture the entire time,(lacking a month and some)but when I askedDirectv for a solution in all fairness I asked to be charged the same "promo price" and didnt expect for free though almost 1st entire contract year I got nothing& paid. They refuse saying I didnt call and tell them, I dont know
precisely the other channels I didnt get as if I know what isnt there, no matter how I explain simply.
I dont watch them (or maybe never got to so dont know if I like them) then the Rep. changed it to 'will refund from Dec. when installer (failed to fix the problem)to the date the Rep. who zapped off the block and enabled channels AND the picture to miraculously come on the same tv with the same un-upgraded box.
(oh, and same month the registered letter to Directv was put on the account the Rep said for everyone to see and not a "usual practice".)
"Whatever that little bitty info" is really meant to do for me. The channel lineup we can read has names but when you get the service, they arent shows and programs for entertainment, they are ads and 24/7 infomercials called serial's,paid prgraming,sell,buy, housewives of everywhere,cartoons which is good for kids I no longer am raising, religion and other nternational programs,religious shows of many channels, the 100's of cinema free on demand I dont get
her since I dont have the right box, and sports on numerous channels, pay per view numerous more than cine Directv's extra $ channels. The ones I do get have a new non-redundant that is before it comes on and is now repeated (reruns of older movies most people have seen by now)or low budget awfulmovies nobody wants to see and its sickening.
Whats worse, is the same movies reruns or whatever are programmed continually and NEVER change, are shown repeatedly over and over since April 28,2011 to ate-April 20,2012.
Repeatedly several times, and the same Exact movies on 2-4 premium channels each, for days! I dont know if Im alone with this or not since I do not see reviews that say that.
So I do wonder if only my lineup channels have that only. I know that when I went to Directv sight as told by the Directv Rep once, I got even the 3 month free channels exactly the same all the same stuff came on my tv lacking most same missing channbels of course but it was programmed into my account that I chose something on the site that switched back to the original beginning channel lineup I recieved when I first got your service.
Hmm, isn't that enough to say what your tv service really is? I was given 3 months free 2 times but still didnt get but 2 of 12,-4 of 12, -6 of 15, and 1 independent,1 other.
April 16th, first the Rep counted in credit? the 3 months free(guess he saw the other 3 months freewhich is now 6 months) but said he couldnt refund the entire (10 months he counted because I now have the channels and picture) changed the course negotiation which kept changing along with questioning,feeling to me was harrassment and ultimate battle instead of assisting me giving for not ting services/badservice.bad picture , no channels"choice ultimate" describes,advertises, guessing, that others DO get.
Finally offering refund of approx.2 months but I paid for 10 months.(after saying why didnt I call about it before Dec. and wanted specifics I dont have ,or some?? very confusing,so am uncertain) I didnt handle the call well,angry, sick to my stomach upset and stressed, I couldnt continue, I shouldve gotten what records out I do have before making the call as I'd explained early on to him, which only set him on his course of cheating me some more out of what I am entitled as a customer paying in good faith still hoping in getting this resolved.
The usual course the Representatives take is to argue deny, and not resolve the problem and not do what they havent done anyway up til now.I dolag at keeping the complaining going nonstop but I cant take the mental anxiety & stress. I usually want to just give up,left stuck.
Just what they intend for us to do by doing these tactics that are normal follow up of the policy and unethical standards of Directv. Adsvertising about thecare of their customers,until you become one.Rep offerred to refund only from mid Dec.(10thmonth) to beg.Feb.2012.
I told him no, thats unacceptable. I hold my breath since I know a zap of their remote & no more channels no picture! Reps. that lie,told me everytime I called about picture or/and channels which depends on how much I get said before they just brush me off.
Emails are limited in characters too so that I never can get all issues out, as do complaint forms.Thats why I detailed some, not all in a 5 PAGE letter. 2 letters.
The response always same, I need to upgradeto DVR box. I argued the reasons that wasnt the truth,am ignored as everything else,including the creditcard charges,but it was No creditcrd needed, & services added not ordered,orIn agreemnt with me either, account holder with no say so whatever of my account.
Forced &under duress and threat not to cancel the service regardless of bad,good,none, pay in good faith believing the promise and care ads trying to get it resolved with custmr servce.
The only asstnce ever was telling me to upgrade, the reason I dont get those channels,& when I told them of no picture.
They didnt care,didnt help,onlyTried coercing for more$ to enable what I already pay for,orto take away resolving illegal paying twice for what I was supposed to get already.
