I took my five children for a new patient visit. We arrived right on time and when we went to go inside, the door was locked. This was well past the opening time. We stood and waited for a few minutes thinking that perhaps our watch may be wrong. Eventually we knocked and the office girls just looked right at us and ignored us. A few minutes later, we were starting to get annoyed because we had two babies, one newborn and a two year old and the temperature was only 20 degrees outside, so we knocked again. Again, they looked right at us and this time got up and closed their office door so they would not have to hear us knock! FINALLY, after almost 15 minutes and well after our appointment time, one of them came over and opened the door. We were upset at this point, but didn't want to rock the boat. When we asked if there was a mistake on the appointment time, all three office staff rolled their eyes and said that they will open when they were ready. They then told me that if I didn't like it to find a new dentist. I couldn't BELIEVE it! I told them that I wanted to speak to Dr. Kopolow to let him know how rude his offic staff was and that he just lost 5 new patients WITH INSURANCE due to their nasty attitude. He was so much of a pathetic COWARD, he hid in the back office and refused to come out. I wouldn't trust this dentist with my kids if he was the last dentist on earth! Afterward, I was getting my taxes done and mentioned the experience to one of the ladies in the tax office. THREE SEPARATE WOMEN told me that they had had experiences with him and no longer take their children there because he was billing their insurance for work that he did not do...One of them wound up taking them to another dentist in Knoxville and he discovered that her daughter had TWELVE CAVITIES...This was less than 2 weeks after he had told her that he gave her fillings. What he really did was put some sort of dental "paint" for lack of a better word on the teeth to cover the cavities and charged the insurance for fillings! When she went back to his office to confront him, AGAIN, he hid in the back and refused to come out. THIS must be why he refuses to allow parents to accompany their children when they are seen....Even if they are little. Pathetic doesn't begin to describe this man...
