They don't listen. They don't belong to the BBB. How could they? We will not rent from them again.

They 'suggest ' upgrades and for us, put on a roadside assistance (we did not ask for this and apparently we called them after one day and. ' cancelled' it. She called us when we reached Atlanta (from Raleigh). This has never been done to my knowledge and we were frequent renters. It made me suspicious of the we'll give you a break on the gas if you let us fill it up for you that she was calling to verify. We filled up (16 gallons) so we called back to cancel that the next day (it was for 22 gals at a 'reduced rate').  She said ok. On monday we called to double check and ask how much grace time we had And it was then that we were told oh no you still have to bring it in empty ( it was 1/4 full, imagine if we'd gone to the gas station first!).  About the grace time she said the system hadn't clicked over to the new hour yet so it was ok. When we got in we had to wait a while but I wasnt worried because of the phone conversation.

We were told then that it was over two hours so we'd be charged an additional day but they 'graciously ' only charged us $12/ hour for the two hours??? And since she'd given me a 'break on the gas price why was I complaining? Anti other clerk checked us out and said she'd adjust the amount of the gas needing to be put into the car but she did not. And so they added the gas amount to the bill and I was charged tax on a product for which I'd already paid tax, and paid 1/4 of the cost, and I paid again.

I wondered why I felt astounded and frustrated and speechless while they seemed completely reasonable and smiled the entire time. I am amazed at the underhanded trickery rampant in business in America today. I've read some of the other reports on here and I guess I'm glad they didn't just file a fake damage claim against us so they could try and bankrupt us. I consider that we got away lightly, with a $239 bill for what was a 3 day 27.99/day rental. That's how you jack up prices on people that don't see the wolf in sheeps clothing.  I bet enterprise only sees the increase in the quarterly profit and not the hurt and disappointment of a former frequent customer. Way to burn down your clientele Enterprise.
