Financial Partners LLC Unprofessional - Rude - DIsrespectful St Charles Illinois

I would not reccommend this firm to anybody. I recently called this company to inquire about financial advice for my business. I have been looking for an advisor for the past few weeks and was referred to them by a friend in Geneva. I called to set up an appointment to sit down and meet with the team. A woman answered and said she could schedule me for an appointment. I had a few questions prior to commiting to drive to St Charles from Winnetka. I asked to speak to one of the producers, or Bill, the president. She said she would put me on hold and try to find someone. I then heard her yell to a man "some black guy is on the line with questions. you want to take this or should i tell him you're not here?" Little did she realize, she did not put me on hold; I am guessing she just put the phone down. I then heard the guy yell, "No. Schedule the appointment with one of the boys. He can't afford to talk to me.". I immediately hung up the phone. Needless to say, I did not schedule my appointment. 

It's 2014. One would hope that racism would of come to an end by now. My dad grew up on the south side of Chicago. He started working when he was 14; eventually opened a restaurant and was able to financially support my mom, myself and my sister. I was fortunate enough to be able to learn at a young age that nothing was going to be handled to you. Hard work and doing the right thing is was seperates people. As a nation, we have made so many advances in overcoming racism and discrimination. It is very tragic to still suffer from the negatively and narrow-mindedness of some people.
