First Impression Security Doors has high priced products that does not last a year before customer's start to have service issues. When the products are made they may sit in the outdoor elements for days before they are powder coated. They only use a phosphate system that does not remove the surface rust, and they powder coat right over it on every single piece.

First Impression Security Doors treats their employee's with the most disrespect, that most of them will leave the company if the economy was better with more available jobs. Installers barley have enough gas to go to customer homes to install products due to only getting paid $0.26 a mile in gas allowance. Installers are responsible for their own maintenance, High Liability Insurance with $100,000.00 - $300,000.00 coverage, tools, cell phone and GPS. They only want to pay for a 8 hr day, but most installers have a average 10 - 11 hr days,

First Impression Security Doors advertise that they are insured and bonded, but when accidents happen employees are responsible for paying for the mistakes. Employees have broken customer windows while installing sunscreens, and they have had to have their paychecks docked for the cost of the windows.

First Impression Security Doors turnover rate is really high, not because employees are lazy, because they get fed up with the BS. Clint Cornelius the son of the owner is so cocky that he treats people like they are trash, or beneath him. He does not offer sick time, and for vacation you have to give at least a 2 week notice.

I will never recommend that anybody work for this company, nor purchase their products. For the same style of door, better quality and cheaper price, shop around.

Installers use their own personal trucks and do NOT get 20mpg try like 10 to 12mpg, all their jobs are all over the valley, add up the cost at $3.60+ a gallon and  wear and tear etc. Smaller trucks (chevyS10, Toyota Tacoma) can’t haul a 16 to 18ft double axel trailer loaded from job to job as need.  This company while I was there ALWAYS changes their rules, pay scales, job tasks etc. (installers, fabricators). Whoever is in charged for payroll ALWAYS short changed people on their paychecks with/without overtime and takes forever for the pay roll lady to take care of the matters.

I figured out while I was there that the upper management jerks fabricators/welders  around on purpose to make them quit example: The company requires you to build at least on average 4 to 5+ doors, gates, guards etc every day, NOW Clint Cornelius signs/approves of the new material, artworks, orders etc., he purposely slows down or stops the product lines to back order everything so the fabricators DO NOT get paid for the build(s) for the day moving into the week. Fabricators are only making $7.80 an hour and whatever door, gate, guards etc. price tag are,

Some builds range from $10 to $70 (night crew pay scale is different) depending on the artworks(s). Fabricators get mad, frustrated, pissed because this happens day after day and your pay check goes up and down due to these situations and eventually people quit and go elsewhere. The fabricators usually get blamed for being behind on production BUT Clint approves of everything. They don’t care about their workers because they look at them as disposable hands because unemployment is 7% and we’ll find someone else to do the job

What A Tear Jerker

If your vehicle gets 20 miles to the gallon then you're paid $5.20 per gallon. Are you driving a big rig or are you just paying $6 a gallon for fuel?

"Overworked" but they won't pay you for more than 8 hrs a day? But they want you to work 10 or 11? Its a very simple dilemma - don't work when they are not paying. If they press you then hire an attorney. There are labor laws and it sounds like you just have a gripe. Build your credit, learn to control money and read numbers, and start your own business. Learn to invest even if you want to continue being an employee.

When someone breaks a product while installing then why should the company pay higher insurance for the worker's carelessness? You pay your vehicles insurance and you own your own phone anyway so whats the problem? Liability costs what - $70 or $80 a month?

I can tell you the problem is people think the company they work for is making more for itself than what the employee is being paid and the employee is jealous. First of all they provide jobs while the people who work for them are too lazy to learn financial intelligence and become financially free. The truth is that most companies are making about 10% over what they are paying their employees. Take a few broken windows and a few perks and they are losing money on the employee. Its called competition and that allows us a higher standard of living. The poorest 30% of us own a washer, dryer, a vehicle or two, clean water, good clothing and warm shelter.

If you love socialism them move to Russia or china. If I had to give a whole two week notice for a vacation, I would move. That is dispicable - two weeks!? And no free "sick days" when one is not sick? That is insane! Take responsibility for your own financial life and quit whining. You have it better than 80% of the rest of the world. Be thankful you have a job because I don't at the moment.

They only want to pay for a 8 hr day, but most installers have a average 10 - 11 hr days. When installers get hurt on the job they are put on lite duty, as far as OSHA knows, but in reality guys are still out in the field installing Iron Entry doors. These doors are so heavy that they always take two guys to lift them 5" off the ground, not to mention loading them into trucks, unloading at the customers house and installing them.

First Impression Security Doors longest working employee is only making $15.00 hr, and like other managers there he has been flip flop around from a worker to a manager. So many people who work for the company has more than one job tittle, but they pay has and will never reflect the long hours and hard work they put in.

First Impression Security Doors customers are often dissatisfied with the quality of the product. I personally have several customers contact information who will vouch and testify about how they have been lied to, miss lead and has experience bad workmanship.

First Impression Security Doors advertise that they are insured and bonded, but when accidents happen employees are responsible for paying for the mistakes. Employees have broken customer windows while installing sunscreens, and they have had to have their paychecks docked for the cost of the windows.

First Impression Security Doors has done so many cutbacks on going with a lower quality material, products and skipping steps. They use the lowest quality spray paint to spray on the inside of glass frames, instead of powder coating the whole entire frame
