July of 2012 my fiancee and I went to Vegas for our wedding. The day before we were approached outside the treasure island casino by a vendore and asked if we "got our comps yet". He explained since we were staying in the suite at the casino we were gonna get comps. He then explained if we give him fifty dollars and went to a Presentation that when it was over we would get our money back plus get all these free items. We decided why not this was about 11:30 am. We filled out the papers and he then gave us about ten coupons for free drinks told us to go have a couple drinks and come back at 1:00 to catch the bus.

Come 1:00 we get on the bus liquered to the gills and go to our presentation well low and behold it was a sales presentation for a timeshare. Didnt have a clue I really thought it was to be a part of something like an infomercial or what not. So the lady takes us upstairs does her magic and we tell her no no we cant afford it and no some more, que the lunch free non alcoholic drinks and then no some more. After an hour and a half we were escorted down stairs were low and behold we were greeted by a manager wanting to ask us how they did. Guess what he started in with a whole new speel about a condo in Florida and so on and so forth we refused again no no cant afford it. It seemed like we werent leaving untill we said yes let alone we didnt know where we were nor did we take our funds to take a taxi. Well after telling him no for about an hour we gave up. We bought some resort in Florida. The funny thing is they made my girlfriend sign my last name not hers even though we werent married. Forgot to tell us our condo in Florida had termites did not give us the proper paper work required by law and told us we would get two free weeks for as long as we owned the condo. They lied plain and simple I tried getting it rescinded but wouldnt you know it they didnt get the letter and when I called them and told them what I wanted they would say please hold I stayed on the phone for over an hour nobody came back.

I called and had to lie about what I wanted so someone would talk to me and when they did she "k. Walden " told me to write everything down in a email and send it to the email address on the back of the business card I was given so I did and guess what no response. I'm giving them one last chance to correct this before I take legal action.

My accounts on here are as correct as I remember them I'm sure someone else out there has had a very similar account I urge you to contact me and others so we can group up and make these people answer us.

I will break my contract under, Duress, Misrepresentation, Impairment for them giving me the tools "coupons for free alcoholic drinks" without telling me I would be making a purchase decision.  There is ways to get what you want just look.

Really?

I'm not sure if you read my complete report but here is the difference. when you walk into a casino hence the name and the machines its apperent you can gamble and lose money. When your approached on the street by a vendor asking you to a "presentation" not timeshare or anything, and failing to mention their will be a purchase decision involved there is where you get into impairment. Furthermore where I live we dont have timeshares never been asked to one and was blind to their ways. as well DURESS is not just threatened with force or violence believe it or not it can also be where one party refuses to leave. kinda like an angry boyfriend who you move in doesnt threaten you or hit you but refuses to move out you go get a restraining order under DURESS.

" I will break my contract under, Duress, Misrepresentation, Impairment for them giving me the tools "coupons for free alcoholic drinks" without telling me I would be making a purchase decision."

While you're at it, be sure to have the casino refund anything you lost at their tables.  After all, they also force "impairment" upon you by serving free drinks.   Duress means that you were threatened with force or violence if you did not sign.   Not that you were too drunk to make an informed decision.   The common description of your situation is called "dumb", and that is rarely grounds to nullify a contract.

" He then explained if we give him fifty dollars and went to a Presentation that when it was over we would get our money back plus get all these free items. "

This actually happened?   This guy actually got you to pay $50 to attend a timeshare presentation?   I think that is a first on this site.

Come on

AUTHOR: krupt1 - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, May 29, 2013

Come on, it's Vegas... You can't go there to stay in a hotel without expecting to be approached about a time share presentation at least once while you are there.  I was there for a week, approached multiple times a day, and each time, I told them, "Nope, not interested," and just kept walking.  I gave them the same response every time they asked me.
