I am a small business owner in the california market. I have used several daily deal sites before like VeryJane, Zulilly, Gigipetals, and others all having pretty good success selling my products. I recently tried Groopdealz.com and was absolutely ripped off! My database was stolen by someone at Groopdeals, I know this because several of my clients who are family members and friends showed me the emails they are now receiving daily! These friends and family members have never purchased anything from Groopdeals nor would they have to as they can get the best discount just buying direct from me.
So now my most valuable resource which is my clients and my list is now being marketed daily without my permission. My sales have dropped by 75% since i used groopdealz. I am going to try and file a class action suit against these guys. If anybody else wants in let me know. Please reply on this post with your email address and i will contact you directly.

We have a 98% seller repeat rate and bring on hundreds of new sellers every week. I can assure you GroopDealz.com never had access to your email list. Our email database is pulled from subscribers who opt in. Is it possible they actually signed up to see our deals? Our sellers also see a spike in sales on their websites during their sale. Customers who love their item being featured also shop around for other items from the same seller, and their is no upfront cost. Most importantly, I can assure you that we only market to subscribers that have opted in, via our website, groopdealz.com. I apologize if their was any confusion during your event.
