I already knew that Harland Clarke was more expensive to use than other printing services for my checks but since I had a new account with Wells Fargo I didn't know my routing number so I decided to order one book through them and when I needed to re-order I would go somewhere else.

I orderd my checks on 7/16/2012 and they said they shipped it out on the 17th. It is now the 27th and no checks. I ordered standard mail because from Texas to Baltimore it shouldn't take 11 days! When you call them, they say "you should have ordered expedited" as if 11 days is normal for us mail. They have no tracking-- so either they said they shipped it on the 17th when they really didn't, or, they are trying to get a bump on the fee for extra shipping option for the next time.

With the money you spend on 25 checks (Outrageous) you would think they could do a little better. I will never use this company again. Wells Fargo should cancel their contract. Customer service could care less and only scolds you for not paying more for "extra attention". They are the worst. Run Run Run from this company.

I wa advised by them that they are a paperless enviroment and no access to the interet for security is why they ask for the routing numbers, and they told me they are monitored by the bank for security very good place

Interesting report.

First, you didn't know your routing number? You posted this so I assume you have access to the internet? It took me approximately 6 seconds to locate the Wells Fargo routing number for Maryland at https://www.wellsfargo.com/help/routing_number/

Secondly, the standard mail delivery time that is quoted at the time of the order is 10 business days, which includes the printing and bulk shipping of your checks. Bulk shipments are indeed not trackable and are the cheapest method to ship for both you and the company, hence the lower price. You do pay a higher price to have the printing and shipping of your checks expedited. You just sound mad because you gambled and lost at the bulk mail game.

Lastly, if you simply must use checks and want to shop around, remember that if you buy from another company, you are providing your personal information to a third party whose security has not been vetted by your bank. They may collect and sell personal data, and have an inferior and more easily forged product.
