HigherOne My son used their online bill pay and the website debited his account but the paper check was never received by his landlady and now he is facing eviction and may not be able to complete this semester New Haven, Connecticut

My son is compelled by the school he attends to use HigherOne for disbursement of his school loans.  He used their online bill pay feature to arrange to pay his landlady four months rent in advance.  The bank "processed" the loan but the landlady says she never got the check.  HigherOne is dragging its feet on producing proof that the "paper check" sent to this landlady was ever cashed or not.  In Illinois a landlord can evict a tenant within 5 days of notice.  HigherOne claimed it would answer his question within 24 hours but did not do so.
