As of today I am a former US Bank Credit Card holder. I had a 31 year record of prompt payment, never over my $20,000 limit, and only two late chares before they pulled their sham. In September we paid our paper billing from US Bank credit card in full ($77.50). This paper billing was for the total due of $77.50 We have paid the total balance for well over a year and much of the past 32 years.

Sometime in September I received an internet message stating that my password had been changed and that I should log on. After several attemps to log on and over fifteen minutes of trying, I gave up.

On September 21st of this year I made a purchase on Amazon.com for 68.89. I use paypal and my debit master card to pay for on line purchases and did not remember using the USBank card.

On October 14 I received the following email. This is a cut and paste compy of the bill. U.S. Bank Credit Card Account - Online Statement Available? From: U.S. Bank Alerts Sent: Wed 10/14/09 12:45 PM To: Account Number ending in xxxx Your Online Statement through 10/14/2009 is now available. U.S. Bank Internet Banking Please notice that the message stated that the statement was available on line. It did not send or link to an actual billing. I did not receive a paper bill in October .

I received nothing during the month of November. I did not receive an email offering me a statement . Today, December 16th, I received a paper bill for the period November 11 through December 10. The new balance reflected that I was past due since December 7th. The balance did not reflect any new purchases but added the September purchase from Amazon, along with interest and two late charges and a new total of 113.

l I should not have been charged late charges or a 30 day late item on my credit. This late payment was due totally to their faultty computer policies. They, and they alone, changed my passsword, fail to send me an on line billing, or a paper billing. They charged me late charges for two months; dropped my credit line from $20,000 to 500.00; placed my account into collections. On the same day I received the billing I called an account tech and he was unable to help me log in. After talking with several people I was sent back to the "ID Shield" tech. He understood that I could not have logged in and that my password had been changed. He gave me a number to call and suggested that it was the fault of US Bank for disrupting my login procedure. After finally getting the help I needed to log on I sent them an electronic payment to pay the balance due of 113.29 and then closed the account.

They made a whole 19.00 on me for the year in interest and found a way to get rid of me and my large credit line.  It cost me 113.29 for a 69.00 purchase.

If they did this to me, just think of what they have in store for you!!!
