I was scammed 02/05/11 the very same way! I am so mad now that I know so many people went through the exact thing plus the ones that have not been reported. They did call my cell around noon (Whitney and her supervisor Richard) and caller ID showed a phone number with the same area code as my cell, a number I tried calling back and it won't even ring like if its not active it does not say anything just hangs itself after 3-5 secs.

Speaking very fast as they usually do, but very nice telling me about the $25,000 sweepstakes and the Mustang and the free diamond watch that I was supposedly going to get just for answering a few questions. I was asking "Whitney" (who claimed to be new at it and asked to put in a good word for her with her supervisor) if purchasing the magazines was necessary to enter the sweepstakes and she responded it was optional and I still had to validate my entry with her supervisor who off course convinced me into getting the magazines because every time I asked if it was necessary for the sweepstakes he will only give me more details about how the offer works and not give a direct response.

When I was transfered to "Richard" he explained more the Magazines deal and from $68 lowered me to $39.31. He took my credit card # twice with the excuse that it was for security purposes and to make sure the card belonged to whom I said I am, and 2 charges were put through my account, one for $1 and the $39.31 after I asked 3 times if I would be charged now and he said no.

I answered questions for an automated machine that I believe he was controlling himself because he was able to speak at the same time as the machine was on. He said I had 3 days to cancel after receiving my welcome package which was going to be mailed within the next 2-3 days. (I didn't give it a chance since they called me yesterday an today I am taking care of this). I was able to get the phone # from him and I was given a tracking # but he didn't tell me how I could track it.

I called my bank today Sunday and created a dispute because they couldn't just cancel it. The bank promissed to credit me the money so that I didn't have to wait the whole 60 days the dispute can take and I thought that was pretty nice of my bank.

So if you come across this please call your bank right away and don't just wait for the scammers to help you!!

I was scammed too

I was in the same situation as you on Friday, May 6. I called them again today and they said I can't cancel it because I have already made the financial obligation. I canceled my card so they can't charge me anymore; I'm also going to file a claim with my bank.

Here is the phone number if anyone needs it.
1 877 667 1459

Has anyone received any of their products in the mail? And how did everyone resolve this issue? Because they obviously don't want to give me back my money, but they won't even let me cancel the subscription, and the initial guy said I can cancel at any time.
