Mr. Jack Finklestein had been a "friend" of my wife for many years, and we believed in him. He said he had put together a movie deal for a  Goodfellas Sequel having lined up the real Henry Hall who'd turned in evidence against the mob PLUS a movie about Jimi Hendrix, as told by his brother Leon Hendrix.

This was "supported" by glowing financial predictions, exit strategies, and guarantees by and Indian "Mogul" named Puneet Dureja of Centaur Distribution Corp., 250 Gorge Rd. 14F, Cliffside Park, New Jersey 07010 Tel: 212-213-9200.

 It sounded like the real deal, so we met him after he solicited investment funds from us. We each invested $5,000 for a total of $10K in mid-2005.

Since then, the original plan was abandoned in favor of fantastic ventures, ranging from gambling paradises  in the far East and India to a huge development in the Bahamas and he latest- a teaching scam using government funds. All of the above was accompanied by much arm-waving and smooth answers to our questions. Money would just POUR in.....just wait...its just about to turn a corner...! Now we get no information whatsoever...I assume he's out there looking for more suckers.

Well, I'm a fairly sophisticated investor and yet was taken in by this scam like any other sucker. It worked for Jack because I never thought a long term "friend" of my wife Marie would do that to friends. Now we don't even have claim to the money except for canceled checks...our last resort is to shame him into returning the money...forget the interest!
