I had my home built in 2004 and requested an upgraded ($700+) whirlpool tub for my master bath.
Sporadically over the years the tub would stop working. I would call a plumber and they uncaulked and removed the front panel and somehow got it working. Seems like the plumbers I got over the years weren’t into suggestions or giving advice.
When the tub stopped working this last time I finally put two and two together and realized that the tub failed when the bathroom GFCI outlets would trip. I could reset it for the bathrooms but behold, the whirlpool tub had it’s own GFCI switch behind the caulked panel that I did not know about.
What kind of a builder would let a whirlpool tub be installed without an access to its GFCI switch? The front panel of my tub is not made to come off. I had to modify the GFCI outlet so that I could have access to it.
Keystone obviously does not care or inspect any of the work done.
