Kirby Vacuums K & G distributors Bold Face Lies about what employee will be doing for Company Crystal Lake, Illinois

I found an add in the my local newspaper from K And G Distributing stating they had positions available with wages of $400 & up. The add was vague but stated Marketing, when I called the office I was advised they had a few positions & the one I liked the sound of was Warehouse. I was told I would be loading or unloading trucks & if ever needed would go on a service call since we were selling goods such as Book Shelves, entertainment centers, tables, ect.... that the elderly may have issues putting together themselves.  Nice a job that could have better pay but I do get to actually help someone & feel good about myself & my job so I found that a perk. Lies all Lies.

Now in the interview they asked for references & wanted relatives & friends since they would know my good & bad habits (not common practice but in sales things are done a bit different so ok but still Red Flag). Lies all Lies, now know they just wanted leads as I went to day 1 of training & while at training the telemarketers called my references & pitched them a Kirby Demo. Really No cuth at all.

I was advised we would be paid for training (found out that training is 3 days "for a warehouse position really???" & you get paid between $25 - $50 for training after 90 days Hummm????) Red Flag 

During the interview I was advised I was selected for the sales force since I am articulate, well groomed (all I did was dress for a job interview) & showed no fear of speaking with anyone. All are true but how did I go from warehouse to sales force in 3 minutes with not being asked just told. Well since I am really in need of a job I rolled with the punches. I have done sales & remodeling so being in a persons home & talking to them is very easy for me so still felt comfortable I could do this. But still another Red Flag & now they have piled up really fast in the time from my original call to this point & it has been 36 hours.

Now I am in a "warehouse/training room" being told how to do a demo in a persons house with a Kriby & I have to use the customers phone to call into the office 3 times during the the demo. Ok big old red flag. I stood up to leave but decided to stick it out to findout what other "fun" facts I could learn.

My trainer Juan advised us he has not paid taxes in 6 years yet he has bought a house (really he bought a house "cash" & the irs has yet to ask him how he affords this place with no income to show of & he leased a car yet the pay check is a personal 1 from the owner so with no job history for 6 years he just leased a $50,000 car) really HA not just lies but this is now getting into the imagination of a child is so big & deep. So I asked if we are contractors since we do not pay taxes (as Juan stated), I was advised NO so I asked if we are given a 1099 & was very quickly with a wave of the hand told to hush. Guess I am not the average dummie who just sees $$$ signs. But get this Juan has seen the owners tax return & you can write off the mileage. How do I write off the mileage if I am not claiming taxes? Also my ins. rates go up because if I write off the mileage I have to let my Car Ins. company know my vehilce is now used for work, so just how does this work Juan??? I got a look with a slight tilt of the head like a dog when you just fooled them by not throwing the ball. Lastly I was advised we would not drive more then 30 mile radius yet we have sales people in Crystal Lake whom go to Rockford everyday What????? That is about triple the distance I was told.

I stayed for 1 training day & will refuse to go back, but here is what it breaks down to, the sales people, sorry "demonstrators" put out all the risk & the company pulls in all the reward.

Smells like, looks like & Looks like a duck, it's a duck not a golden goose. Psssst may just write the IRD & let them know why not they pray on people in need well let the hunter become the hunted
