Kirk Swafford Mobile Mechanic Craigslist Fraudulent Mobile Mechanic Botched job and would not return to fix Mckinleyville California

I hired Kirk Swafford to replace a blown head gasket. He charged me $1000 labor. When the job was 'finished' he did not test drive the car. He did not start up my car to show me that it was running. I wanted to start my car to see if he did the work properly, but he told me I could NOT start it until I went to get some oil and antifreeze. He then left with my money.

After I put the oil and antifreeze in, my car would not start, even with a battery charge. I knew something was wrong because my car had always started RIGHT up, even with the head gasket blown.

I had my car towed a shop where they determined he had stripped a bunch of bolts, sloshed oil all over the engine, and completely messed up the timing in my car. I have recently been quoted AT LEAST $600 to fix the damage, and possibly a lot more once they inspect all of the work he did. I have made countless efforts to get a hold of this man to face me and make this right. Now it has gone too long (one week and he still hasnt contacted me) so I am being forced to get the word out about him. I do not want ONE more person to fall victim to this man.

THIS MAN CLAIMS TO HAVE LICENSE AND INSURANCE TO BE A MECHANIC BUT I CONTACTED THE BUREAU OF AUTOMOTOVE REPAIR AND HE HAS NO LICENSE. I will update with the information regarding the B A R complaint that I have filed, along with any inofrmation I obtain from the small claims court.
