My husband and I also were scammed by La Jolla in Mazatlan. We are both seniors and cannot afford to lose our retirmement savings to this dishonest, unethical company.
We were promised that they would sell the timeshare we owned in Canada and, of course, this did not happen. They have refused to refund our money, which we desperately need.
We have been working with Profeco now for almost 2 years, and La Jolla meets with them every other month, agrees to repay us a portion of what they stole from us but they never do.
This has been such a difficult situation for us to endure and we see no end to it.
Please, do not deal with anyone from La Jolla. Do not attend any timeshare presentations. Do not go near the place. They are nothing but thieves and con men/women masking as smiling friendly salespeople. What a terrible joke!!
This is a shameful company that gives the beautiful Mexican people a bad reputation and flaunts their disregard and disrespect to a division of the Mexican government.
Stay away from La Jolla in Mazatlan!!!

la jolla scam

You're right, those companies give a bad reputation to beautiful mexican people. I hope everything is going well so far, la jolla is actually one of the most fraudulent timeshare companies in Mexico. La Jolla uses resale agents that guarantee the sale of an old timeshare within a 90-120 day period. They promise high resale prices, so that they can induce buyers into purchasing larger amounts for their La Jolla timeshare package. I know a company called Mexican Timeshare Solutions that can give you a free consultation on your matter, you should contact them to see if you can do anything else against la Jolla. This is another forum with more people who were scammed by la Jolla:
