Legionnaire's Insurance Trust Underwritten by The Life Insurance Co. of North America in Philadelphia, PA; subsidiary of CIGNA in Breach of Contract:  Santa Barbara California

After paying for Legionnaire's Accident Ins. for 19 years and upgrading on 10/1/2003 with hospital coverage of $50. per night I put in my first claim for $200. (4 nights as inpatient). The VA hospital in West Haven, CT had overdosed me on Lisinopril for blood pressure which caused me to collapse and become unconscious and and then held me for a 2nd night immobilized. They released me the next day with a blood clot in my left illiac vein. After two days my left was so swollen and purple I had my wife drive me to a civilian hospital and was immediately put on a heparin drip and coumadin for 3 days for a blood clot and DVT (deep vein thrombosis). My claim says I was "ACCIDENTALLY" overdosed by the VA medical staff which caused me to be hospitalized. The Ins. will not accept my claim. I have read the Insurance policy and have concluded they are guilty of a Breach of Contract and plan to sue. As the parent of The Life Ins. Co. of North America is CIGNA which is less than 15 miles from my home and is in CT the Dept. of Ins., CT has confirmed with a presence in CT I can sue plus file a complaint. My research has shown that the Co. has paid millions in penalties to 16 states over the years plus complaints in 6 other states. They are 3 time losers in CT having paid $51,500 in 2001; $54,000 in 2006 and $2,900 in 2008. The biggest penalty, I believe, was paid to Colorado: $207,250. in 2006
