Leslie Davenport Sold me a kid safe horse that is a bucker and rears up trying to injure a trainer. Prineville, Oregon

Ms. Davenport clogs up her report with issues that have nothing to do lying about a horse, saying it was trail rode by a senior woman and a kids lesson horse. Her believing I am ignorant isnt the point. I have received any paperwork stating I was being sued for defamation of character so as far as I know that is another kie. Her rebuttal is filled with everything but the issue and she rattels on and on. I prefer to state the facts, "I didnt like the horse she sold me as it was not safe for me or anyone else to ride and her bill of sale says I have 30 days to return that horse." Monday we go to mediation and I am fully confident the matter will be seen clearly by the person at the mediation procedure and the ruling will be in my favor. Thank you

 I purchased Belle on March 17Th 2013, Rae Bordwell purchased Belle April 2ND 2013 I owned Belle for 16 Days Total. I rode her a total of 7 times and Alea a 9 yr old girl tried her and got a lesson on her 3 different times. She was hauled to different arenas and places. Belle was listed on dream horse and craigslist for 2500.00 due to the fact I was leaving for CA in a week I dropped her price to 1200.00 and posted a video with Alea the 9 yr old riding her in a large outdoor arena by herself. Rae called me within 30 minutes of the ad with the video being posted and met me at the fairgrounds. When Rae and Terry Bordwell met me at the Prineville Fairground to look at Belle. They looked her over and I rode Belle for them then Terry rode Belle before they decided to buy her. I offered to haul Belle to there home in Crooked River Ranch free of charge because I like to know where my horses are going. I dropped Belle off, before I left we talked about Belle being a lead type mare that needed reminders on space and respect Rae assured me that would not be a problem. I suggested to them when they rode her the first couple of times to go riding in a group for safety so they could get to know each other. Rae called me about a week later saying they were having trouble with Belle wanting to be with the other horses (as all horses are herd animals) She said she had a lot of energy and we talked about what she was feeding her. Rae told me they were graining her and feeding hay as well as supplements. I let her know that feeding a horse that way will increase there energy and could be part of why she is so energetic in her paddock. I also let her know it is breeding season so it was very likely the mare is in heat and not acting herself because shes in a new place with new people and new horses. after that I told her I was entered in some rodeos in CA I was leaving the 16th and I would be back Late Sunday night the 21st I told her if she was still having problems I could come and give her a free lesson. Rae called me at 7am Monday morning the 22nd and wanted to know when I would be out to help her with the horse. I said I had just arrived back home at 4:30 am and I would call her back later after I had got up and moving around. She called me back at 12:30 and asked where I was, I was getting hay for my horses and taking care of things since I had just got back in town. I told her I was to busy that day to come out.

At that point she was very mad and said sorry for bothering you. I received a call while I was at work on my work phone from Rae that she is going to proceed to take me to court. I said I am prepared for that. I remembered that Rae said she had bought a horse from a local horse trainer that she sold because it did not fit her. I contacted the trainer and have a written statement from Stephanie Higgins, Stephanie informed me that she sold Rae a horse that she believed fit her needs and was safe. Rae posted negative untrue things on Craigslist about Stephanie and her training business. Meanwhile Rae resold the horse doubling her money in the process. after Rae received the court notice for mediation she started posting negative untrue things about me on the public web-sight craigslist in the bend area, I have at least 5 posts that she wrote that were untrue and that will affect my reputation from years to come.

We live in a small horse community and she was posting that I sold unsafe and dangerous horses that someone will get hurt on. Not one horse that I have sold has ever hurt any person. While she didn't post my name in ever post she had so many up at the same time with references that were clearly directed at me and that people in the community were calling and emailing me about what they saw they saw posted. I asked Rae to take the posts down she said she would not, She said she wanted to go to judge Judy and be on TV. I also received a letter from the judge Mathis television show requesting my approval to go on there show. I feel like Rae Is a board retired person that has nothing better to, The court television shows pay the judgments as well as travel and appearance fees. Rae also posted publicly about the mediation date being May 20Th and was asking the community to come and tell the judge what they think about me. I emailed her and informed her that there will be no judge at mediation. There were at least 2 posts informing the community that I was going to small claims court about a dangerous horse. which was not true. I currently have horses for sale and I feel like what she has done to my reputation is damaging and costing me horse sale which is loss of wadges.

I would like 2500.00 for defamation of character. The last 4 horses I have sold have sold for 13,000 Mudpies Brat sold on 3/1/13 3,000 Dolle Lena Belle Sold on 3/17/13 1200.00 Belle 4/2/13 1200.00 Tonto Pony 4/5/13 That's an average of 4600.00 per horse. I know she has cost me at least one sale from her defamation and I currently have a mare for sale for 2500.00 that has yet to sell.
