I purchased a pool filter from Leslie's Pools in June of this year for $100.00.    The filters are supposed to last for one year.   After using the filter for a little less than a month, it stopped filtering the water.    I contacted Leslie's Pools and spoke to a sales person. He advised me to go out to the pump and tell him the number the gage read.  When I gave him the reading, he told me that was good pressure, but there was nothing he could do for me and I needed to wait to speak to the manager.  The manager comes to the office 2-3 days a week.   I was able to contact the manager, who checked her computer and verified that I purchased the pump there.   She gave me several reasons why the filter may  not be working and advised me to deep clean it, then run the pump without the filter and also tell her what the pressure was.    I agreed to do all the things she asked and then call her back within a day or two.    I then deep cleaned the filter as she suggested. In fact I kept it soaking in the cleaner for a day then I hosed it down.   I also run the pump without the filter and the pressure was very good.   She then asked me if the pool was dirty. I advised her that the water was clear, however, there was some slight discoloration at the bottom due to the filter not working properly. She then told me that she will need to contact her regional manager and get back to me.   She has not gotten back to me.

I purchased this filter at Leslie's Pools in good faith.    I have purchased filters from them before and did not have a problem with it.   It is clear that this filter is defective. All I am asking Leslie Pools to do is to stand by their product and exchange the filter.  I thought they were a reputable company, however, I now realize that this is not so.  Any reputable company would stand by their product and work with their customers to resolve any issues with defective products.
