im a woumded veteran i saved up for this vehicle for over 7 years. im from new york but syationed in california. i purchased a 2009 BMW M5 the sticker orice was $48000 out the door was $52 thousand dollars. i flew to illinois to pick up the vehicle after being purchased and aski them if the vehicle was in good condition a road trip to NEW YORK an then to to CALIFORNIA of course their answer was no problem the car is in perfect condition.

driving of their lot a have a engine light came up so i immediately call my saleman and told him about it and his answer was that because cars sit there for months at a time the batteries discharge but since i was going in a long road trip it will recharge with no problem, which for me it male plenty of sence. well i dont want tp make this story to long the car didnt even make it to oklahoma the car stall on my like 5 time in the middle of the freeway around 2 o'clock am and then at 7am so like i mentioned above oklahoma was my last stop.

luky i stall in a place where there where car dealers and the was a BMW dealer aprox 2miles away in oklahoma . i got the car towed to the BMW dealer and they told me that they habe no idea how i made it that far. that the alternator and the baterry were bad so and since it was a friday they couldnt do nitging for me until monday because their service dept doesnt work on wekends. Ath this time am SOL so i had to make araigements with an auto transport company and tow my car to my home town which by the way it was an exttra $700

so when i call them i told them about my issue they told me that sorry buth that there is nothing they can do, to call the warranty company which i did but unfurtunally the warranty dont cover nothing electrical only engine and power train. i kept calling and asking to talk to the owner and talking to him i the most polite manner and he told me that he was going to talk to his manager to see how can he helped me.  the results of all this was that they sent me the cheapest alternator in the market that fith my $52000 vehicle and told me thats all they can do. that y have to pay for the battery and for the labor rate that the bmw charge me to fix it.

lucky motors this is not the proper way to do bussines and  this i going to the BBB because what you guys are doing is ripping people off. and i advice to all personel in need of a vehicle do not utilize this compani they are going to ripp you off at some poiont.

LUCKY MOTORS I HOPE YOU QUIT DOING THAT AND START TREATING PEOPLE WITH RESPECT THAT SAVE THEIR MONEY TO BUY A NICE VEHICLE, LIKE ME I NO MILLIONARE LIKE I SAID I SAVED 7 YEARS TO PURCHASE THIS VEHICLE I ALREADY MADE 2 PAYMENTS AND ITS STILL SITTING IN MY GARAGE BECAUSE IM TRYING TO PUT THE MONEY TOGHETER TO FIX THE RIPOFF CARTHAT YOU SOLD ME . THANK LUCKY MOTORS. THANKS DAN, ANDY , CHRIS AND MIKE SALERNO FOR ALL THAT HEADACHER THAT YOU GUYS MAKE ME GO THRU.

Mr. Lopez did buy an 09 BMW M5 that was here for a couple months and it is a fact that if the higher end vehicles do not get driven or started daily that battery and check engine lights do come on. We did tell him that if it did stay on, to contact us and we would do what we can to help. He did contact us on matter of the vehicle not starting and we did order and deliver him a ner battery at $600 out of goodwill. Mr. Lopez was also offered a warranty that he did purchase, but did not get the one we reccomended that would cover him bumper to bumper, he stated that " This is a BMW, what can really go wrong? I am only worried about the motor and trans." We told him that for only $800 more that he could cover the whole vehicle and he declined. We help every customer that purchases a vehicle from us and want to keep everyone happy, we stand behind the vehicles that we sell even if they are used. If there is anything else that we can do for you Mr. Lopez, please contact us and we can sort it out.

Regards,

Dan

That’s the chance you take by purchasing a vehicle sight-unseen without a test-drive.

You can give your Ripoff Report more impact by uploading a photo of your BMW M5. This will allow others to see the vehicle and it will make your Ripoff Report more powerful. Most people like to read the Ripoff Reports with photos that are attached.

Example: Feel free to type in 1096494 at this site and click on Ripoff Report #1096494 and see that Danny uploaded a photo of his broken-down Honda Accord in his Ripoff Report.

Good luck to you!

AS IS....

Where it is unfortunate that this happend to you, check the paperwork you signed and ensure it doesnt say AS IS anywhere on it. If it does then they have ZERO liability. You state they sent you a new altinator, a cheap one, but still new. That is FAR more then most dealerships will do. Consider yourself lucky you got that much out of them. When ever you purchase a USED vehicle, you should ALWAYS expect that there is a problem somewhere with it.
