I went to this McDonald's at 9pm Sunday, 3/11/12. I asked for a two cheeseburger meal, and two other combos. The two other combos were ordered without incident, but I requested that the cheeseburgers not have ketchup dripping all over the outside of the bun like they gave me the last time. The girl gave me my total, and the screen said 'ask me' where it would usually would say 'no pickle' or 'light mustard,' or what have you. Then she must have left her microphone on, because I heard her say "can you believe this guy, what a d*ck!"
I was fuming. I paid my money, and pulled up to the pickup window. I was handed my drinks, and then I asked for a manager. The manager waddled over, and she said that the girl wasn't talking about me, she was on the phone with her boyfriend and was telling a co-worker about him. I asked her what she was doing on the phone when she was supposed to be giving her attention to the customers.
Then I reminded her that the cellphone policy was visible from the lobby, and that I was familiar with it, that the workers are to turn their phones in on the beginning of their shift and will not have them available for use during! I knew she was lying and covering for the foul-mouthed teen. Then she just looked flustered. It was at this point that I told her she would refund my money, because I could not trust a bunch like them and would not risk eating anything that they would hand me. I think I can get the girl fired for what she called me, but what do you think I will need to do to get the asst manager fired for the lying?
