I recently purchased a vehicle from a dealership. The dealer sold me an extended warranty. I later got a thing in mail saying my warranty was going to expire and I could purchase this one. I called them up because I wanted to be diligent with my new car and have peace of mind. I explained to the sales person I already had purchased an extended warranty and they told me a few things like my current one was not good outside of the dealership and that my dealer had lied to me. I believed this... I said I would think about it and call them back after comparing the prices and service difference.

They would not give me a full list of details without purchasing. I then said I would not buy so I was transferred to a sales "manager" who started weeling and dealing and made the plan better and dropped the price a few hundred dollars. At this point its sounded pretty sweet compared to my current warranty. It was cheaper and supposedly was honored in more places and would provide more services. All of these things were not the case.

The sales person insured me that if I could not get a refund on my old warranty that I could cancel their within 30 days for a full refund. After finding out my warranty was just fine and was through Chrysler and would be usable all over the country. I decided to just cancel this one and not take a hit on my pro-rated refund for the current warranty. Once I called up and tried to cancel they kept me on the phone for over an hour. They would not let me cancel and kept trying to make deals with me by lower the monthly payments. At this point I have not had a monthly payment and I dont plan to, they said they would have to send me cancellation paperwork.... for some reason it cant be done over the phone, online and I am expected to wait for the papers in the mail. By the time they get to me and I fill them out and send them back they will have charged me for a service I told them to cancel.

For this fact I have disputed their charge on my credit card. This is the last option I was left with since they would not cancel it for me. To all who deal with this company or any others, once you have made an attempt at cancelling you have the right to dispute the charge. I will post back here once this deal is over with the results.

I have no idea how their warranty is, but their sales person lied to me and their customer service would not give me a cancellation in a quick and easy manner. I do not plan to lose money on this deal since it has been less than 30 days.
