Mrs. Carolyn Gibson Pingry School Abusive Crazy Teacher Short Hills, New Jersey

I was another student Mrs. Gibson treated abusively.  Her methods should have been looked into a long time ago but no one cared to take a closer look behind her facade.  I am happy to say she's retired to San Diego.  In my opinion, he best thing she's ever done for students is stop teaching.  Good riddance, and God save California!

This report is so heinous; the woman must be a sadist.  What is she trying to do to  these students that she doesn't like or that have parents who don't like her -- push the children so far they commit suicide?  It sounds like that's what she's pushing for. 

The more I think about the story of the student who was put through being tested for ADHD and even had to have an EEG because of Mrs. Gibson targeting the kid and not liking the parents, the madder I get. This is bullying, pure and simple - and sick! It's sick! I remember a lot of parents didn't like her. The old drunk who ran Vail-Deane hired some ultra-unprofessional people. The least that woman could do is open her bank account and pay the student(s) she treated like that back! Bully us and abuse us against our will, fine, but then take some adult responsibility for your actions and PAY US FOR IT! Come to think of it, that drunk headmaster of Vail-Deane owes us, too - him most of all for allowing all this. Have some dignity already!

That's a lovely sentiment, Singoutlouise, to forgive her because she "knew not what she did," but do not deceive yourself.  That old rattlesnake knows exactly what she did.  If she didn't, she would be capable of talking to her former scapegoated students when she met them, rather than looking away in shame.  Decent-living teachers do not have to be terrified to say hi to their former students, the way teachers who worshipped at the throne of a complete psycho like Timothy Leary do!

Pity Mrs. Gibson didn't choose her influences a little more wisely, isn't it?

I just found these new reports listed here and can't deny that they have brought up several bad memories and pack a wallop. What went on with the way Mrs. Gibson treated kids was truly bad.

I also ran into Mrs. Gibson once, many, many years later, without trying to, of course, since I would never have sought her out. She couldn't look me in the eye, either. She couldn't meet my eyes, couldn't say hello. She looked down at the floor and away from me. It struck me as an unspoken admission of guilt, gulit and even shame, if ever there was one.

I am certainly no fan of hers and my posts on this website prove it. Yet when reading these latest reports the line that keeps coming to mind about Mrs. Gibson is, "Forgive her, Lord, she knows not what she did."

P.S. to what I wrote yesterday on this subject:  The kids should be paid REPARATIONS for dealing with fruit loop teachers like this!  We should be paid back for every single time our dignity was trampled upon by these out of control, useless private school people!  Treat us like we're crap all you want, sure, but at least have the decency to pay us back for it later!  Assuming you can understand what a word like decency means, which is probably an over-estimation of your comprehensive abilities.

Reparations!  Reparations!  Reparations!

Oh, I can understand the school sending Mrs. Gibson to China, all right, but only if it's on a one-way ticket there, and with no hope of her returning here!  Yes, China might be a very good plan!  Or a nice unheated North Korean hard labor camp where she could find out what it might be like to do a little real work for a change, rather than taking her dope and harrassing children. 

Yes indeed, ship her off anywhere, just get her away from any place where she can harm any additional kids.  Unless she's got a medical degree she has no business saying a child needs ADHD or any other kind of testing. 

Then again you can't exactly expect a stellar job performance from any teacher who worked at Vail-Deane.

I have a Mrs. Gibson story for you!

Mrs. Gibson had a beef with my parents.  I think it was pure jealousy in origin.  They did better in life than she did.  So she started saying I was this big problem child, that I was doing things I had never done in my life.  She lied.  She lies like a rug.  She convinced everyone at the school that I had "a problem," even though I didn't.  She said I had ADHD.  I didn't. 

I had to go to doctors.  I even had to get an EEG when I was just a kid, get hooked up to a machine where they monitor your brain waves with electrodes, like science fiction, which terrified me.  All for Mrs. Gibson!  All to shut Mrs. Gibson up!

The results of the test were that there was nothing wrong with me.  The doctor said the only thing he could see wrong was that school!  I got transferred out but while I was still there I was getting sick to my stomach in the morning before having to come face to face with Mrs. Gibson the Unevolved.  The only "big problems" I had were the ones she was making up to "get to" my parents!

Now I find all this written on Ripoff Report and other reports too and I am so glad that the story is finally coming to light.  Why did they give Mrs. Gibson a free trip to China?  What is she rewarded for?  Lying again maybe? They need to face what's really going on and the real character, or rather lack thereof, of the people like that who are on their faculty.  In the end it's the students who will be losing out.  This was one of the worst experiences I ever had.

Pingry does respond to these reports but in a sick way.

People complain about Mr. Richardson.  I come to find out Pingry gives him an award.

People complain about Mrs. Gibson.  I come to find out she makes out even better than Mr. Richardson.  Pingry gives her a free all expenses paid trip to China! 

People complain about the school in general.  Go onto the Pingry website.  Their latest propaganda device on there is their Strategic Plan.  If you want to laugh read it because it's a beauty.  They go on and on about their exalted history.  Ha!  Everybody who lived anywhere near there in the 70s, 80s and 90s knows that place was known as a drug den.  Some exalted history that is!  They go on and on about their Honor Code.  Yawn.  Then one of the few things they say is that they want to train and keep the best teachers.  They say nothing about getting rid of the bad ones they already have on the faculty that everyone is complaining about.  They're too busy giving the bad ones prizes and free trips half way around the world.

I can not help wondering.  Are some of the current staff members kept aboard because they know where a body is buried?
