 brought a computer from Super Walmart in January with that I purchase a warranty with walmart for 68.00. A couple of months ago the computer started giving me problems i called Walmart Extended warranty to see what they can do. They told me the wrong thing when they said they will send me a computer.

But the computer will be refurbished i brought a brand new computer for 498 dollars and i wanted it to be new. So Walmart said they couldnt send me a new one. So i wanted to cancel the warranty. They told me i had to write a letter and send a copy of the original receipt i did what they told me to do.

The following week I got a letter from the company NEW(Correspondence Department) saying they needed the original receipt and send it to National Electronics Warranty.This company send back the letter and the copies of the receipt. I mailed off the original receipt thinking i will get it back.

I guess not i received the check for cancellation but i did not get the receipt back. I called back and they told me "oh we dont have your receipt." We discarded your receipt and you want be getting it back.

That ran me hot i went off the wall i couldn't hold back my cuss words. I couldn't believe a company would trick a customer like that. I got so tired of arguing with them I kind off let it go and find another way to get my receipt.

Also to find a way to get me computer fix I thought i was through with Walmart and NEW. Untill 09/28/2009 I women name Dana called from NEW/Walmart and left a message saying that i would get a check. Because my computer is not repairable and i would be reimburse for my computer plus the tax.

I will be receiving the check between 7 to 10 buisness days. Dummy waited and waited for the check after 7 days I check the mail box every day. The check never came on the 9th day called customer service they say the check was never mailed. Dana told me if i had any question called I called two times to see if i was getting the check.

I was reassured so may times i would be getting the check they had to see what was going on. After all this i was heated i wanted my receipt and my money that they said i would be getting. I never received a call about the check until I called them. They told me i would not be getting the check.

Because i cancel my warranty with Walmart and they cant issue a check for the warranty and a check for the computer. After that I lost my cool I wouldn't have been so upset if they would have told me this. Before i got my hopes up that i was going to be getting a new computer I went off on all the customer service rep plus the supervisors. I have talked to everyone and they want help me i even talk to Dana.

She told me that she made a mistake and people make mistakes. I thought customers was always right I was played for a dummy with my receipt, computer, and the check.
Walmart Extended Warranty told me i would have to write to NEW legal department.

About this problem that i have with there company i have already email NEW and no responds. I cant believe NEW/walmart treat there customers like this after this experience i don't want to buy any thing from walmart. I am glad I didn't listen to the customers rep saying i can throw my computer away since i am getting the money for a new one. I advise no one to associate with anything pertaining to Walmart Extended Warranty /NEW Correspondece Department and they also have alot of other names so beware. I hope that some one can help me because i believe that i got ripoff and if any one have this problem please try to fight it dont let these shady companies get the best of you.

Thank you for contacting National Electronics Warranty (NEW).  I apologize for all of the aggravation you have experienced with your warranty service.  Regrettably, if your original receipt was sent in to process your cancellation there is no way for us to send that back to you.  The receipt has since been discarded of.  Also, since the warranty that you purchased has already been cancelled and refunded to you, any check that was to be issued for reimbursement of the computer has also been cancelled.

Dear NEW,



       I have had a bad experience with your company pertaining to my Walmart Extended Warranty on my computer. I cancelled my warranty because i did not want refurbished items so I cancelled my warranty. Walmart told me to send in a letter plus a copy of my receipt i did that ;Walmart send it back saying they need my original receipt. I received my check for cancelling the warranty but have not received my receipt. Walmart told me that i cant get my receipt back i have been arguing with them from day one. I am stuck with a broken down computer with no receipt. Then they told me on 09/28/2009 that i will be receiving a check for my computer after i waited for the check and it didnt come. I called them and Dana who works for them said she made a mistake and i will not be getting the check. Because i cancel the warranty with them i would not be upset if I could  get my receipt back. Also the check they said i would get that is there fault they made a mistake. Whoever I a dealing with giving you and Walmart a bad name I just want my receipt and the check they said i would get. I have talk to everyone and no one wants to help me Walmart or you should honor what was told to me. If i had to take legal actions against you and Walmart then so be it. After this Walmart doesn't have to worry about me shopping at there store anymore .

That is what you get for buying a computer from Walmart.

On a more respectful note, you need to realize that a lot of this is in the terms and conditions of the warranty.  Yeah, the whole process really sucks, but nothing in the terms and conditions of the warranty says that the process will be convenient.  That is how modern day capitalism works.
