this company will not pay you for the work that you do for them. they will call you late at night, and call you dumb and stupid. Alan the one tech / owner, is very very rude. After the order is complete they will cancel out the call so then you will not get paid for the work. I have called the company to try and get paid, and they will not pay out.

Aj Towne did not complete

AUTHOR: Rob - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, May 09, 2012

Anthony Towne did not complete the job.  Anthony Towne of Aj's Computer Systems in Tea, SD 57064 claimed to have a broad skill set for installing and troubleshooting DSL circuits.  He was hired to troubleshoot a modem that had no train.  The contract stipulates a set of rules and procedures, in which Mr Towne did not follow nor complete.  This was is first assignment with us, and his last.

Anthony Towne installed a new phone line and jack and left the job without getting the customer a working service, in which we had to dispatch another tech to complete the assignment at our expense.  He did not turn in his work order for 7 days, which is due at the end of the day on the assignment date.  After speaking with Mr. Towne more in depth regarding his skills, he was unable to answer any technical questions that a DSL tech would know.

Questions asked:
Did you troubleshoot?  NO.  Did you call the providers support line? NO.  Did you call our support line? NO. Did you test the modem at the NID?  NO.  What is the retrain? He avoided that question.  What is a SNY?  Again, he avoided by saying how outdated DSL is.  Did you go into the modem to look at the settings?  He replied that you can't get into the modem when there's now service.  WRONG.  Why did you borrow a drill from the blind homeowner?  He replied with he forgot his at home.  Why did it take you 7 days to get us the work order when it is due on the same day?  He claims he did.  Why did you not return our 20 plus attempts to contact you via phone and email? He wasn't getting mail on his phone.  We had our client needing the work order to close out their end and could not get this from Mr. Towne.

In short, we offered to pay him for his cable and jack, but since the job was not completed and we had to dispatch another tech, we simply can not pay him.  His work order, which I will attach if this site allows, shows what he detailed as the results back to us, and clearly shows that he did no troubleshooting.  Any service tech knows to list what they did on a job, such as what they tested and the results.  Anthony Towne, in our opinion, has very limited tech knowledge in this area, and certainly does not belong in this industry.  In addition, you NEVER borrow a tool from a customer!

It is unfortunate that techs like this have to run to places like this and try to harm a companies reputation.  We pay every tech that completes the job, and we work with any tech that needs help completing a job.    When you run as much service as we do nationwide, you are going to run into a few bad apples along the way, and I'm sure they will run straight to this site.
