On July 13, 2013, after a lengthy email exchange with Heather, from OurStage.com, I received an email from Heather with my overdue Prize money, and a written response stating that she would remove my music from Ourstage.com per my request.

As of today, September 19, 2013, that request has not been honored.

I emailed Heather again three days ago requesting again that she honor my request as promised.  Heather's response to me was that she was not aware of that correspondence and did not have the email she sent.  She then gave me another email address to forward my request to (which I did, along with the original email from Heather, which I had stored in a folder...just in case something like this happened). 

As of today, I have not heard back from Heather or the OurStage Community, even though I forwarded both parties the correspondence between Heather and me, clearly stating that my music would be removed.

Because of past issues with Ourstage refusing to pay prizes to me and other artists in a timely manner, I no longer with to have my name affiliated with Ourstage and I am requesting that they honor their word that they would remove my music from their site in July.

We have communicated with this artist and believe this issue to be resolved. From our perspective, this was a result of miscommunication, for which we take responsibility. However, we wish to make it clear that there was no ill intent.

While our system allows users to "hide" songs from their profile, because we are a site that holds public competitions with public charts, we do have to reserve the right to retain in our archives songs that have completed said competitions. To remove songs plays havoc with those rankings and does a disservice to our other users.

When this user made a request to have her songs removed, we had to perform an evaluation of the feasibility of that operation as it pertains to our ranking system, as we do with all such requests. Unfortunately, I personally dropped the ball in getting this done. When she wrote in a second time, the prior correspondence had indeed been lost. We asked that she write to our community team directly so that a formal ticket would be created, but her email was filtered as spam and we did not see it. When we heard from her again, we apologized followed through with her request.

Again, the delay was our fault, but it was simply an error. This user received her prize, as she stated, and had her removal request honored. We appreciate her past participation on OurStage and regret the frustration we caused.
