Search TipsIt is so sad that a company that is supposed to be "reputable" could treat someone so poorly. I really hope that no one ever has to go through what I did with them. As far as denying the extended warranty and protection I had to do so because I could only afford the smaller payment because the interest rate on the loan is 10.34% WITH A COSIGNER who has EXCELLENT credit.
I'm pretty sure that they inflated the interest rate on the loan and are taking some off the top, I wouldn't be surprised. I am paying down the loan as best as I can and selling the piece of junk, of course it was appraised at $1500 by a dealership so it will probably blow up before I can pay it off. Thanks for selling me a total P.O.S Ourisman!!! Oh and you should choose your words more carefully in the future, you sound totally illogical and uneducated.

When this customer purchased the vehicle, we strongly suggested a protection plan (some refer to as a service contract or extended warranty). She refused and took the option for the lower payment. We even have the customer sign a document saying they decline that protection and waive their rights and benefits to it.
This customer contacted me a little over a week ago and I offered to look into this and see if there was anything I could do to help even though 9 months has now passed. Prior to me calling her back on a Wednesday as I promised, she began a letter writing campaign and contacted the Better Business Bureau, etc. and social media attacks. She did not even wait for my call to see what help I could offer, if any.
It's regretful that she has taken this approach. I have tried over and over to explain that we cannot cover maintenance and repairs outside of warranty. I am sorry that this has ended this way.

Am I defending the car dealer? No way. I think most of them will try to take advantage of every buyer. It is up to us, as consumers, to research the dealership and the vehicle before we ever step foot in the place to purchase. Know the dealers reputation, learn about the vehicle and its value and get an independent inspection for the vehicle you are buying.
But, now that you are stuck in this car loan, pay it off or sell the car and pay it off so you don't end up hurting yourself more financially. Pay for the repairs you need and learn the lesson about dealers, salesman and promises so you don't fall for it the next time. Thank your lucky stars that the vehicle is only $6000 and not $26,000 - better to learn the lesson now.
