PGA Tour Partners Club Lifetime membership not as stated Minnetonka Minnesota

I have been a member of PGA Tour Partners Club since August of 1999. It started off great with the club magazine arriving each week and special offers made at discount prices. It seemed quite credible as Tom Lehman was their official spokesman.

The promise of giveaways and sampling products never happened and the items I ordered, while nice, were not always matching the description. I received a bag tag with the club logo once I joined as a lifetime member and I did like the towel and travelling bag I ordered despite it being labeled with the clubs logo.

After a brief three months, the magazine stopped coming and I lost touch with the club despite submitting changes to my personal information. I think the concept is great where members get discount golfing rates, easier access to tournaments and the offer to test new and innovative golf merchandise, but that is all it was, a promise. 

I have not heard from or received any type of information to keep my membership active and the phone number I was to use to contact them is no longer working. I am a golf enthusiast and make it a very integral part of my life but ventures liker this really turn me against the industry as a whole. With the cost of playing the game and purchasing equipment on the rise every year, a club like this would be great to ease that pain, but alas, even things that start out well usually never last like in this case. 

I urge people to heed the "buyer beware" and know exactly what type of support these places have from the PGA and the other golf bodies representing the game.
