i paid $50 for engine light diagnosis and they said it would require cam sensor replacements for $300. The repair lasted less than a few hours of driving when the check engine light came on. When I bought my Ford Escape 2009 back they said it would require an additional $600 to replace two more sensors!

I've heard so many people complain about various PepBoys locations for their complete inability to correctly diagnose or repair any sort of cam, crank, or timing issue.  Did you find out what codes they pulled when they diagnosed your vehicle the first time?  Is it on your invoice?  If so, what codes are on there?  Did you get a second opinion?
