Pinnacle Events is not an events company.  The name is very misleading.  It is only a sales company for FW1 automotive car cleaner...nothing more.  The rip-off is that the business misleads applicants into thinking they are doing event promotion when actuality, they are a sales company.  The rip-off is that they will never actually tell you that they sell FW1 car cleaner.   First you will have a BS interview just to keep you intrigued - a 5-10 minute session where they will take your resume and smile a lot.  Then comes the "second interiview" - another BS 5-10 minutes while they show you where to drive to (in you own car - with your own gas)  The salesman at the "event" shows the job applicant how to hustle people at the gas station into buying FW1.

It infuriates me that these people never just come out and say "we sell FW1 product - would like to like for us"? Their business practice, marketing solutions, and hiring methods are very misleading and confusing.  If you go for an interview at Pinnacle Events be sure to ask them what is you will be doing.  They will never actually tell you that you will be selling product...therein lies the rip-off.

Good points that is a management company. However, when I asked what the position was the "hiring manager" told me it was event marketing. It is not - it is a sales job. Never did he said that or what I would be doing.

Nothing more than a rip off

This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had with an Employer.

As the other posts argue , this company misleads any applicant to believe he or she will be working as a manager, the only thing that they won't tell you is that once you become a manager your compensation would be based only in comission. The training program is harsh , you are required to work 10 to 11 hours everyday.

They offered me $400/week but I saw they paying other people $300/week (rembember that the national minimum wage is $7.25 so they are required to pay you at least the minimum wage ) It is the law !

At last , be aware of the owner Miguel Hernandez, he will mislead you and lie about the description of the Job, Compensation and everything he can. Miguel , I know you will be reading this post so I have a suggestion for You : Don't expect anything that you are not willing to do or show and I'm refering about WORK ETHIC, you expect your workers to stand up for 10 to 11 hours per day, no breaks , no lunch is this what you work work ethic? Well let me tell you something sir , you have the woirst work ethic in this planet, you do not care about your employees and you just profit from them but creating an illusion that this is an ethic place.  Just one word for you KARMA.

You must have been a sorry rep!

So whenever you went in to do the interview, they told you that you would be working as a promoter at corperate events? Then they sent you to a location to watch a sales rep promote and sell a product? I don't see what the problem is sir, last time I checked almost any corperate owned gas station costs millions of dollars to operate and if they let this company on to their property to promote FW1, which is a Nascar approved product, seems pretty legit to me. The reason why they promote to you in the interview that they're looking for an event manager/specialist is because they ARE looking for that. Obviously it seems you haven't worked in "events" before if you look at 4 reps at a multimillion dollar location selling 500-1000 dollars worth of merchandise a day to qualified consumers and wonder why they sent you there to see that. And you said you're also wondering why they don't just say they sell FW1? Because that's not all they do dummy! Once you get down how to sell then they teach you how to manage people. I'm pretty sure that's what almost all company do right? If you get hired at a fast food restaurant they teach you how to flip a burger before you make a schedule? Regardless of any company you work for they all sell a product, a service or an idea, but if McDonald's hired you to be a Senior advertising specialist, you think they'll just tell you flat out "We want more money so make an advertisement so people will buy more s**t from us." I'm pretty sure you either got hired on and SUCKED a*s at the sales aspect so you couldn't get to the managing an event part or you just went to the 2nd interview, looked at someone standing at a gas station and thought you were too good to do that. Some people see that and look at opportunity, others see that and then write a lame rip off report because they didn't understand the business. My advice if you get an interview, ask about what you're going to be doing in the front end but also ask about how you can get to the Managers position as fast as possible, because it IS POSSIBLE! My good friend manages a company for them after 1 year of working there and makes 65,000/yr. Not too shabby for someone who manages 15 people who sell s*** at a gas station right?!

My well-being was confiscated by this scam

I'll keep this short and simple while staying anonymous...this "opportunity" took a year away from my life which I can never get back. In that time I saw many lives ruined and families ripped apart by pure lies and mislead intuitions. I will be the one to take action and I have gained the resources to fight for our rights...however I NEED a TEAM. If there are others that have been wronged by this parody of a business model, take a minute and post a report and we will find a way to network with eachother.
