Premiere Fitness (Augusta Ga) Gold's Gym - Augusta They LIED...verbally told me I could stop the training at any time, but made me sign a 12 month agreement Internet

I contacted Gold's Gym for  short term personal training.  The head trainer Corey pressured me into signing a long-term contract for 12 months as it was the "only" option, but he verbally assured me that at any time I could stop the training.  He said the procedure for stopping it was to "just let me know".    When I wanted to stop the training I let him know and he gave me an email address so I could inform them in writing.  I did send an email to terminate the training, as I had a broken toe and was not using the training at all.

Premiere Fitness still billed me for the month. I disputed it with my bank, and even had a joint phone call to Premiere Fitness with my bank facilitating.  We discussed what the trainer had told me, and they did not dispute it.  They said they would look into it further and get back to me.  They did call me several times to talk about the payment and each time I told them the same information...like a broken record.   It did no good and now it has been turned over to a collection agency for more than $3,000.

I have contacted my attorney now for advice on how to proceed.  The trainer at Gold's Gym in Augusta lied to me and pressured me into agreeing to sign the only agreement option they offer.

I am heartbroken that I was so stupid to believe him and that it has progressed to this point.  What a dishonest and low thing to do to someone who wants to just improve their health.  Stay away from ths company...there are many honest and upfront training companies in Augusta who will care about you and who will be straightforward.
