River City Limousines River City Limoz Services far under par, Unjustly charged outrageous extra fees Portland, Oregon

It is hard to know where to start when pertaining to this company. I booked a limo/party bus for my brothers 25th Birthday. I was promised 4 hours in a 26 passenger party bus, complete with restroom, flat screen tv and premium after market sound system, but what I actually received was much different. When the bus arrived it was not even big enough to comfortably fit the 20 of us that actually showed up, thankfully we didnt have 25 passengers like i originally quoted them. Next we find out the restroom is out of order and the tv is also inoperable. The sound system was also much lower quality than promised. The first stop of our night was only 3 miles from our pick up point yet it took the driver nearly 45 minutes to find it, even when using a gps navigation system. The rest of the night was more of the same, more circling around searching for the next locations. After the last stop, at which point a few of us stayed on the bus, I noticed that a friend had hurt his leg earlier in the night. After talking with him he decided he was ready to call it a night, but when I asked our driver to take him home he said that he was low on gas and therefore couldnt. After ten minutes of bargaining and explaining to him that a gas charge was included in the reservations 20% gratuity (of $100), he reluctantly agreed. At the end of the night, we asked the driver if we could be of any help in cleaning up, he replied no and that ended our transaction.......so I thought.

After a couple days, while doing my online banking I noticed an additional charge of $150 to River City Limousines. After speaking with the same gentleman who took my reservation, he informed me that it was due to an extra cleaning fee. I was charged an outrageous 25% extra on top of a $600 original charge that already included a standard gratuity. I informed him that I was originally willing to let our disappointment with and lack of service from that evening go, until I was charged extra for a service that I was not even pleased with in the first place. He apologized and even offered to send me a voucher for a free 4 hour reservation for a future date, somewhat satisfied, I agreed. One month passes, no voucher has arrived. I then called and spoke with the same gentleman who originally promised me the voucher and he assured me that it must have been an Hr error, possibly with my address.He then confirmed my address again and assured me that my voucher was on its way. After another 2 weeks without a voucher, I tried contacting him again multiple times via phone as well as e mail, but to no avail. I then looked up their address, drove all the way out there and found out they were not even operating out of there. After doing some research on the internet, I found another address for them but was discouraged again when I arrived and the address belonged to a bar called Candlelight. I then spoke to a man tending bar and he told me that the limo company was operated out of the back of the bar but the owner was not in. I gave the bartender my address, phone number and e mail and told him to please pass it along to the right person.

The owner (and original person who took my reservation) was avoiding my phone calls all along, I know this because anyone in that business returns any missed call they might have promptly. I learned this the day of making my reservation, when I contacted nearly 20 different companies and heard back from every single one of them within ten minutes of my original call. Sad to say I just chose the completely wrong one in the end. I'm hoping this Ripoff Report will keep you from making the same mistake I did. I'm pretty sure the bartender did as i asked him, but still to this date, nearly nine months later, I am waiting.
