I've followed the Warranty Star MLM company for two months now. I was first invited on a call from a friend of mine to "make some extra Money". Since i went to a meeting where i learned about the man behing Warranty Star.

Scott lafavre.... i wondered why he wasn't on the website listed as some big wig CEO or chairman. So i did some Googling..... And Found.

1.Multiple bankruptcies
2. Criminal Investigation
3. a link to a court hearing about taxes
4.Illigal Mortgage investigation
5. Ties to

Here's an piece from an article describing one case. "...Lafavre also 41 is under investigation by State Department of Commerce for violations of states real estate laws, after federal regulators uncovered what they believe is evidence of a multilillion- mortgage fraud at a Burnsville firm. That Firm is LHS Mortgage which Lafavre founded".

Also interesting about this is it appears since i had first searched on the company. He has hired a Search engine optimization specialist to post severallink to bump all negative hits on google off the first page which 99% of people only scan through the first page. I suggest you do your own research on this. There are already other complaints on the internet. I'm glad i didn't get involved.

Please Beware of this guy and any other criminals who feel the need to try and get cash quick in the MLM field, these guys smell blood in the water. He is a smooth talker and could talk some out of their shoes. Please do your own research, and get the facts you might have to go back to the 10th page of google. Please Please Find a Proven MLM Company As Troy Dooly suggests. With proven products, and Proven people behind it. I'm seeing too many of these pop up everywhere.

Disgruntled Ex-Corporate Officer Wrote above Criticism

AUTHOR: Cals - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, March 08, 2013

It is clear that most likely Bryan B**** wrote this criticism and it is completely false and much information is taken completely out of context. First off, Scott LaFavre didn't own LHS. It was owned by Adam LaFavre. Notice how the person filing the origional ripoff report conveniently started the quote on the last name, but decided to leave out the first name!

Second, About Scott hiring a SEO for Warranty Star.....which company doesn't do SEO?!?! Besides, only corporate officers were aware of this fact as of August 31st. Bryan has a vested interest in seeing this believed because he left to start his own company in order to compete with Warranty Star. Which is a complete violation of his legally binding non-compete. He should be very worried.

Here are some articles about Scott LaFavre:
(((links redacted)))

Scott LaFavre has never committed or been convicted of a crime. He is an amazing individual that has a tear inducing story of overcoming tremendous obstacles and becoming a self made millionaire. Because of this, his major flaw is trusting people, giving them the benefit of the doubt when they don't deserve it and giving people chances when they haven't proven themselves.

It's too bad ex-corporate officers with vendettas have to resort to such lows to lick their wounds.

Response to both

AUTHOR: MLMWATCH - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, December 21, 2012

I looked into said "Warranty Star" for a friend from minneapolis,  it appears they are doing business. So it is not a pure scam. I did google the first reports bullet points and did find.

A US tax court case overview, in which i read through "Scot Lafaver" and ______(Said woman will not name because she is not mentioned in report but i presume is wife) VS. United states tax court.

The ruling on page five of the t.c memo 2000-200 Ruled "they were not entitled to the false casulaty loss( in excess of $400,000) claim filed."

Also from a page where searching Criminal Investogation:

"Scott lafave (41) is under investigation by the state department of commerce for violation of real estate laws. After federal regulators uncovered what they believe is evidence of a multi million dollar mortgage fraud at the burnsville firm, which Lafavre founded."  He apparently tried selling the company. I can't find info on if he accomplished this or not.

Subjects son is mentioned (will not name names because yet again he is not named in the report". Said Son's lawyer claimed his innocence on involvement.

LHS Mortgage did not have any complaints on BBB in the last 3 years however, when i searched registry it showed they may not have been in business since this. One more article showing Un-named subject was sentenced over this.

It appears he took heat for buying a golf course, and turning it into a development. Which did file for Bankruptcy.

I also found a link stating: "Lafavre sold lafavre racing to cover bankruptcy on tree farm".

He withdrew one of the bankruptcies.

I did run a background check and there were no criminal convivtions. Which would be standard even for one who does run shady practices, because entities are liable in the case of business, and will not go civil. I'm not saying thats the case here, but explaining it.

As second post states to search for Nascar's view on Scott lafavre, and Celebrities endorsing him.

I found once article referencing Him in an article from stock car racing. But this is not from Nascar, it highlights Lafavers racing team, and how they are competing crew from MN. It also talks a bit about lafavre and his real estate dealings.

I can't find anything from Nascar on opinions of him, or Endrosements. I even searched endorsements of the company stated and nothing comes up.

Business is business and things do happen as stated by second poster and that does not make anyone a criminal.

My Opinion: I would personally not entertain being invovled in Warranty star for several reasons:

#1 Where there is smoke there is fire(past /present), and i for one when looking at a MLM company focus on the people behind it.

#2 when it comes down to it i don't believe in the products, warranties are a satuared market, and i know they state MO-mo but who wants a warranty for one month only( market slim ).  The automobile products may work, but i have no clue. I watched a few videos but don't see anything revolutionary, and again automobile markets are saturated.

#3 I don't like MLM's that have small boards of people representing them. Many of the best MLM's have multiple people representing the company on their site. I believe Warranty star has one.

This is not to say you can't be succesful in it, but start up MLM's make me nervous many will generate income for a year-2 years and dissapear overnight. And i could be wrong, but i doubt it. After seeing many people loose money in Zeek rewards, i myself believe in finding a company backed with a strong board, product that can own a market, and will appeal to everyone in that market.

Always before you join an MLM ask , where products are made... is factory debt free? Ask for evidence of earnings from whoever you are speaking with. Don't trust 50% of people as many as the " fake it till you make it " type.

And for those of you who will feel the need to question me: I have generated a high net worth through consulting on supplemental income, as well as Licensing my intellectual Property to a fortune 500 company.

Always do your Due Dilligence, and maybe

Prove It or Delete It

AUTHOR: RLSasse - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, November 30, 2012

The report listed above concerning Scott Lafavre was written by someone who has a vendetta to hold not from the standpoint of a consumer protection and product warning alert.

I have known the Scott for decades and would stake my life on his integrity.

The accusations made in report
  //scott-lafavre/auto-warranty/bloomington-minnesota-9195a.htm.
are that Scott is a criminal in the eyes of the public.  Take note that at no time has this man every
been convicted of the accusations listed in the report.

Scott like most of us has made the mistake of trusting people and that they would do and act as that person portrayed themselves.  If you want to find the truth behind the accuser, the evidence behind the accusation, and the specific details that lead to this written assault on Scott's reputation; why is the author not willing to disclose his identity?

Search LaFavre Racing and see what the racing community in NASCAR thinks of him.  Find the National Celebrities that will endorse him for giving them their start in a sport that has 70 million spectators a week.  At that moment you will realize that no one person can believe what this original Ripoff Report has for content.

Every major industry in this country has had lawsuits after legal action thrust on them, by someone who makes accusations.  It does not stop us from driving cars, flying on planes, buying products and services from any brand name.  You and I both know people that have an idea in their head and extrapolate it into a disease of gibberish as if they were the only person in the world.   Cases in point "Coffee is Hot" don't spill it in your lap and expect to get paid millions of dollars by the retailer, but they did, WHY?

So we gave the author of the original article a sounding board to spread his opinion, I say prove it.
I can walk up and down the street and get multiple opinions about you (the reader) are they all true?  Some days my family will be mad at me, should I take everything to heart, should you?

If you have ever owned a business or worked for someone else you know there are highs and lows in the economy.  Things change and businesses succeed or fail, in 2008 how many businesses you knew of are now gone?  Are the owners and operators of these businesses bad people?  This guy would have you believe that failing means you are some kind of crook.

As I stated at the beginning I would trust Scott LaFavre with my life, I am willing to lay my life at his feet.  Are you willing to trust your life on the accusations of the author of 9195a.htm?
I don't expect you to believe me anymore than you believe this hack that hides behind his computer, but I am willing to put my name behind my words.
