I purchased a Dell Inspiron 15 3521 in July of 2013. In March 2014 I decided to upgrade my computer so I went online to see where I can sell my old 3521. I came across sellusalaptop. com. I was impressed with their site and the fact that they said they give top dollar to people wanting to get rid of their old, used, and unwanted computers. I filled out their form and got a quote for 180 dollars. I was told if I liked them on facebook (which I did) I would get an additional 5 dollars. I got an email saying they received my information. They listed my quote at 185 which included the 5 dollars for the face book like.

I then printed out the shipping label and shipped my computer to them the next day. About 4 days after I shipped my computer, I received and email and it basically said, they received my computer but that because it had MINOR COSMETIC DAMAGE AND WORN KEYBOARD, they had to adjust my original quote from 185 to 81 dollars. I emailed the company and said I do not accept that quote because my computer was only 7 months old, they keyboards were not worn  and for MINOR COSMETIC DAMAGE, I am only going to get less than half the original quote.

They sent me an adjusted quote of 97 dollars which I was going to reject also but realized that these people already had picked apart my computer for parts( apparently they could not get as much money for the parts, hence the lowball quote), so I decided rather then ask them to send back the computer and then have to recycle it, since I would not be comfortable trying to sell my computer after they picked it apart for parts, I accepted the 97 dollars. I then noticed that the new quote did not include the 5 dollars for facebook like so I went an unliked them on facebook. I put a comment similar to this on their facebook page.

This company seems to use the old bait and switch method. They give you a high quote to get your merchandise and then find some small (in my case) thing wrong and use it to then give you a very low quote. This is not a company I would feel good recommending to anyone as I feel they are not very good at giving and honoring good quotes. I received payment the day I wrote this story for 97 from a company called AW Tech Group. I assume they are another name for Sellusalaptop.com.  I only hope people will see this and be prepared to not get the original quote when they sign up for this service.
