Shepard Associates, Colin Cook Abandon project San Francisco California

 Colin Cook, CEO of Shepard Associates was hired as a Project Manager to take our company from concept to a complete CMS system. When hired Colin insisted on replacing our entire team with his hand picked group of designers, wirefame consultant and programmers. As the project progressed it was apparent the communication with the programmers was not good, they didn't respond to voice mails and emails. The project was over 6 months behind schedule and I was told repeatedly by Colin that his team was the only one that could build out my concept. Both Colin and the programmers missed weekly meeting and when the system encountered bugs, lost pages, no tech support, and servers going down Colin refused to get involved and left us to deal with the non responsive programmers on our own.

As a result of Shepard Associates abandonment of our project we have lost almost half of our customers and our sales team has zero confidence in the system due to the ongoing problems. We are currently switching over to new servers, programmers and support team which has added a very large financial burden that was not anticipated. During my search for our new team I learned quite alot about how I was mislead by Colin, not only are there many programmers that can build a CMS, but the system his team used was ASP.net which is a fairly old code which is certainly not the state of the art sytem we were promised and paid dearly for.
