I purchased a Simmon's Beautyrest, Simmon's top of the line mattress, for over $1000 four years ago. The mattress springs have failed, the bed is painfully uncomfortable, and the mattress is no longer usable. This mattress came with a 10 year warranty. However upon contacting Simmons about the warranty, they told me because the mattress had a small scuff on the bottom side of the mattress where it got slightly dirty during a recent move, that my warranty is VOID. The dirty/scuff only on the bottom of the side of the mattress from the dirty floor in the moving truck has absolutely nothing to do with the mattress, it's springs or any aspect of the mattresses failure and painful discomfort of the mattress but they claim it is now no longer under warranty, and VOIDED my warranty. The store that sold me the mattress said they will do nothing to honor the warranty. This is a disgrace to a bedding manufacturer that claims to have such excellent products and warranties. I come into contact with over 1500 students a day as a professor. I will certainly make it my mission to make sure that each and every student is made aware of Simmons' lack of warranty fulfillment and defective products. I have never been so disappointed in a purchase in my entire life. The voiding of a warranty due to a scuff on the mattress cover has nothing to do with the internal parts of the mattress, but Simmons obviously has this as part of their warranty coverage, which was not listed in the warranty upon purchase, to avoid covering any mattress or bedding in the future. I would suggest everyone avoid the purchase of a Simmons mattress unless they plan to keep it in a plastic bag during the entire life of the mattress. WHAT A MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT FROM A COMPANY LIKE SIMMONS!!!

Read your warranty.. my god I dont know how many of you "type" people I get in my line of work. You think youre ok if you have stains, how do you know it didnt get damaged in the move? Any type of stains voids your warranty. Read the warranty card that came with the bed when purchased. Its consumers like you who waste my time when I come out to inspect your bed. If you see a small stain even moving stains please dont file a claim you will be denied.
