Skycare represents themselves as a complete EHR solution that is fully customizable, which they are NOT.  Their product does not having a billing solution, at least by the industry standard.  They roll up to a superbill then you have to use another billing service to re-enter the data into that system, which is double the work.  In a complete solution the work flows seamless from patient visit to billing the insurance companies including the reporting of the Accounts Receivables.

Also the functionality in there program does not work.  They claim you can e-RX which you cannot do because that program is not currently functional, yet it was sold that you can do this.  In addition they are not certified to allow you to prescribe any narcotic type drugs, which entails almost all persecriptions that are not over the counter.  No e-Labs either because that functionality either.  They are claiming that they will have a complete billing solution, which they promised to me 2 years ago, which they do not have.

We have started a class action lawsuit against these guys because not only have they taken our money each month wihtout doing anything, when I changed my banking information they treatened to sue me.  They were the ones who misrepresented their product yet are trying to sue me.

I did start using this product and the flow through they say is customizable it is still a terrible solution.  It took them 6 months to create my custom templates.  Yet they charged me and charged my account again.  They also told me I would get my stimulus incentive money for $21,250 for my first year, and more money each year after that.  They said this would take them about 6 weeks total, which this never happened.  I was with them for 6 months and canceled my service and they told me I was stuck in a 60 MONTH CONTRACT and i needed to pay them a $10,000 cancellation fee.

My Attorney is currently working on suing them, and we have found that we have a lot of comapny.  So far we have found 80 other Doctors that are not happy with this comapny and trying to get out of their contract or taking legal action agains them.

I am currently very happy using my FREE PRACTICE FUSION  system that is a much better solution in working functionallity, billing, and its FREE.

Buyer beware this company has a history of screwing people over and trying to sue them to hold them to contract which they misrepresented and continue to represent on their website of being a complete EHR solution, which they clearly are not.

DO NOT sign a 60 month contract with them.

NEW EXECUTIVES NOT PAYING CONTRACTED SEVERANCE PAY - NEW LEADERSHIP IS EVEN WORSE

AUTHOR: Former Employee - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, April 01, 2015
Interesting turn of events with this company...

As part of an employment agreement, certain sales roles were given a contract including severance which would be distributed under any circumstances.

John Hendel, Skycare's new "something"(if you ask him, he'll just tell you he's a consultant.  But for the 6 months prior to February, Skycare's CEO stated many times that he would be one of the new owners.

When it comes to the responsibility of paying previous employees the above severance, Hendel says something of the effect of "duhhh duhhh I don't know, you have to talk to Eric Tsai"

Eric Tsai? Who the hell is he??  Some guy in Hong Kong who runs the company, according to Hendel. ( I also heard that Tsai was able to get his hands on the same device that the Wizard of Oz used to stand behind a curtain and project a mystical and holographic image.)  I say this, because when asked about the owed severance, Hendel merely passes the buck to Eric Tsai.  Man...I wish I had someone 11,645 km away to pass my responsibilities to! I must be doing something wrong.

When it comes to this situation, Hendel claims that he is, again, just a consultant.  That's a good thing to be in this situation because if that's the case, somebody somewhere is doing something low.  Some shark somewhere had his balls cut off and can only feed on guppies.  Perhaps someday, the mystery decision maker at Skycare will dig down deep and find some human decency in regards to paying employees their severance.  But for now, we can only guess what type of individual would do something like this...

Screwing people over on their salaries is dirty.

Screwing people over on their salaries when they have families is just disgusting rotten filth.

Screwing people over on their salaries and then trying to help those people find their salaries through "name dropping" is sick and twisted.

Goodnight and Goodluck.

Skycare EHR Formerly Platinum MD Contact Information and update

AUTHOR: Dissatisfied Customer - ()

POSTED: Monday, March 02, 2015

My attornies and I have been trying to contact Platinum MD, DBA Skycare EHR, but it appears that this company has shut its doors without any notice to me and all of their customers.  We have not recieved any updated information on how to contract them for support of the products they sold to us either.  We have left numberous messages and have not received any returned calls from the 800 number listed on the website.

I did receive a call saying that we no longer have to make monthly payments to them from Jason Defranscisco the former sales manager, which would be ok, but I bought the product from them with bank financing they arranged so I am still on the hook for that until my attorneys can get that taken care of.  Though I still am receiving calls from the bank who was not aware they went out of business.

It appears they are just trying to run from their obligation to continue to support their clients, and did not give us any notification they were selling or going out of business, which has had a disasterous affect on our business flow.

All that I have is the phone numbers for the former CEO Alex Change at (949) 233-3878 and Gary Thorkelson at (714) 820-0332.  Maybe by calling them we can get some information on what happened, or who to sue.  We are also trying to reach UB Care based out of South Korea who was the parent company of Skycare.  We are also planning on trying to recoup our money from them too.

Gary is the idiot doing the collection calls

AUTHOR: Another Dissatisfied Customer - ()

POSTED: Saturday, January 24, 2015

Gary is the idiot doing the collection calls saying that if you do not pay your monthly payments that he will sue you for the $10,000 cancellation fee.  It is too bad that this company tries to hide behind the fact that having a MU Certified product does not imply that the product actually works.  The requirements to get your MU Certification is simply to have the open connectivity to the tools like eLabs, eRX, Patient portal, etc, but they are NOT reqired to have those working modules.  I know it is crazy, but not as crazy as Gary who wants to stand behind that we are happy to be MU Certifed.  It just goes to show how rediculously stupid this company is.

I would recomment that you direct all calls to Alex Change because he is the CEO at Skycare they try to protect, but he is the one that it telling all of his workers to lie to clients and prospects that they are going to be getting working financials, eLabs, eRX, patient portal, etc.  They do NOT have any money to spend on development.  In fact the product is so bad that over 40 clients who did get a check for MU 1, where you pretty much only needed a receipt that you purchased an EHR system, but at stage 2 for MU you actually have to use it.  So those 40 customers were NOT able to obtain a 2nd check from CMS because the product does not work so they could not collect the information for MU2.

All I can say is DONKEY'S!  Last update is that they are trying to sell their company or the disatisfied customers they have.  I believe EBI healthcare out of Irvine is evaluating if they want to buy them.  I just hope they don't get snowed into thinking they are actually buying anything here and they are going to be taking on the 100's of lawsuits that are in the works because of the dishonest and fraud at the highest levels.  Also as Alex Change tries to get hired at another company I hope he is found out that he is ring leader of this deception and deceit.

SkyCare EHR

AUTHOR: Gary - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, October 21, 2014

SkyCare is very proud of the fact that we are indeed a complete EHR solution. We are recognized by The Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) as a Complete Ambulatory EHR, with a CHPL Product Number IG-3082-14-0053. The official public notification can be found at the government website here: http://tinyurl.com/ov9rwt2 . This government certification covers many elements, including electronic prescriptions and electronic Lab integration, and is required to achieve certification from the ONC. It also allows for each of our providers to attest with The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to remain in compliance with their Stage 2 Meaningful Use program. The details of which can be found here:  www.cms.org.

During the business and discovery process of our services, SkyCare offers a 30 day trial period where the eligible professional is taken through a complete guided tour of our system over several encounters in the course of their 30 day trial. During this time, each doctor is free to log in, use the system, make changes, and explore any aspect of the system he or she is considering to purchase. There is no financial commitment on the client’s part, and at the end of this no-cost trial period, the doctor can chose to terminate this trial. In essence, the doctor is allowed to use the system to the point where he or she is comfortable enough to make a decision to either purchase a license, or discontinue service with no charge. Each doctor has this option available. This option is prominently featured at our website, www.skycareehr.com .

SkyCare is unaware of any group of doctors in Chino California with the issues listed above.

My name is Gary, and I am the Marketing Manager for SkyCare. Our offices are located in Southern California and I can be reached during business hours at 888-789-0971, ext. 201. I welcome anyone’s call to discuss this issue, or any comment about our product. Feel free to contact us at any time.
