  Hello I was a technician for Smith monitoring for almost 4 years, they use subcontract employees , send them some shirts via ups, they send them the contracts, and installs via e mail, I had to clean up alot of other technicians work I got tired of it and it it curcial everybody should know this, when I was hired they never even verified if I was fingerprinted and licensed with the state as an alarm technician, I have done alarm systems for 12 years and never ran into a company like this,

I would show up to installs and some of them would cancel on the spot once the tech has sat in front of the owners home for about a hour while they were trying to iron out problems with the home owner, Some of these contractors they use have only 1 or a few years experience, Smith Monitoring got sued for a lady that got robbed and the alarm never worked they must of paid somebody to remove this off the internet, they are not conducting background check on the subs they send out to your home, no more need to be said coming from a technician of 12  years installing home security systems. 

Also they are installing fire devices and smoke detectors without a fire license. Your have been warned, if you google the reviews it is the same person posting these positive reviews I wonder why ?  Hmmmmmmmmmmm
